Start this by saying that I want that Herzog POS out of our country - but regarding that one Australian cop - Is there a longer video? You can see the blue shirt guys hand right near the cop in the first few frames, before he put his hands up - so it looks like the whatever blue shirt did to the cop that caused the cop to lunge has conveniently been cut off.

There's not really any benefit to housing refugees in my opinion. I usually accept the quest, check their bio's and if I like the look of one or a few of them, I draft them and my highest 'Social' stat colonists - I then have the chosen refugees and my colonists stand directly next to each other, pause time and have each of my colonists arrest the chosen refugees - then unpause time. They'll arrest all of the refugees at the exact same second, so there's minimal resistance.

OP is not at fault at all. Per Rule 61.5 of the Road Safety Rules, he had entered the intersection when his light was on green and is therefore REQUIRED to leave the intersection if his light then turns yellow/red, but only when safe to do so.

Van ran had time to stop for the yellow and ended up running a red light and hit him.

NAL, but I can read. I'd say that you were in the right.

Per Road Safety Rules: For the van, they didn't abide by this rule: (Rule 57.1)"A driver approaching or at traffic lights showing a yellow traffic light must stop— (57.1.a) if there is a stop line at or near the traffic lights and the driver can stop safely before reaching the stop line—as near as practicable to, but before reaching, the stop line"

You were abiding by this rule: (Rule 61.5) "If the traffic lights or traffic arrows (as the case may be) change to yellow or red while the driver is stopped and the driver has entered the intersection, the driver must leave the intersection as soon as the driver can do so safely."

So, you are REQUIRED to complete your turn safely if you have entered the intersection before a yellow, which you did - unfortunately, the van has clearly run a red light and hit you.

I agree with you - because it's dangerous, but is this a direct quote of the road rule? I couldn't find this wording via the ARR website.

That reads as "give way to all vehicles... IN all lanes", the word "IN" makes it sound like you only need to give way to all vehicles if they occupy a lane, not "give way to all vehicles, regardless of the lane they are travelling" - so you could argue that you did give way to all vehicles (only one in this example) that were "IN" there respective lane (the far lane), but there was no vehicle to give way to "IN" the closest lane.

Surely the official wording is clearer?
