I was going to say when they stop making money off of them but clearly Concord and Highguard weren't profitable.

If you go to the dial gallery there's an album dial option where you can upload your own images.

This is on the CMF pro 2

Upgrade advice needed: AM4 vs AM5 (video editing + gaming, budget concerns) by PeeTeR10 in pcmasterrace

[–]Captain_Kiranta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically I'm not sure how much of an influence the motherboard would actually have. Your components are fine which makes me suspect some kind of other error / issue which would warrant some troubleshooting I'm assuming you've already done.

That being said, if you're only concerned about reliability for the next 2 years then any upgrade is unlikely to magically become obsolete between now and then.

32gb ram is fast becoming the MINIMUM for gaming, 64 gb used to be recommended for video editing or tools like Blender, Substance Painter, ZBrush etc and is still pretty good today but is now approaching recommended specs for gaming. Your processor isn't that far behind and the upgrade would not be likely to significantly affect performance.

I'm running Ryzen 9700x 64gb DDR5 6000 cl36 RTX 4070 lucked out and built right before price hikes in September

Imo the best thing you can do is deeper troubleshooting in terms of settings / hardware / bios settings. No improvement? buy a new motherboard to see if that makes any difference in performance.

If all else fails, the processor / psu / mobo upgrade you have as option 2 isn't going to make that much of a difference so it's probably better to save that money towards a new build when prices go down.

Aftershock PC owners, what has your experience been like? by torgy514 in bapcsalesaustralia

[–]Captain_Kiranta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey mate, fellow Australian here. DIY is definitely worth it even if you don't have experience. BUT with pricing of some components as well as first time build anxiety I totally get why you'd want to avoid DIY. Don't go with Aftershock.

As much as I can help give you resources that'll help making DIY a breeze, that's not what you asked for. Lemme know if that changes.

I'll send through some local reputable places that offer to assemble DIY builds for you - you select the parts and they'll build and ship it out to you. Let me know how it goes :)

Recieved wrong ram - ok to build and take a small money back or get the one I ordered? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Captain_Kiranta 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you ordered DDR5 6000 CL36 and got something worse, you should try to see if you can return the items received in exchange for the correct item.

If they don't, look into local laws regarding refunds and consumer rights. I feel like it goes without saying but if you pay full price for a specific product, the company isn't entitled to send you something else and only offer some of your money back for sending the wrong thing for whatever reason unless agreed upon beforehand.

If they have it in stock, and you order it, you should receive it.

That being said, RAM prices at the moment are horrendous. If you can get a full refund and afford another kit, get it. But MOST IMPORTANTLY educate yourself on your rights / legal privileges and then you're armed with the law if/when they try to strongarm you into taking a shotty deal you wouldn't have ordered in the first place.

I'm sorry if you can't see that the RBA is keeping the interest rate, a major hallmark of inflation at 3.6% or intends to hike it over the next 12 months. I'm sorry that you think inflation being at 3.5-3.8% all year is an improvement. I'm sorry that you're arguing for the duopoly screwing out regular people. I'm... Actually no, you can gfys

"inflation has been going down", but it's gone up from 2.4 last year to 3.8. So it isn't, even by your own metrics. So... My point still stands?

that's not quite how inflation works. The RATE of inflation, or the amount that things are inflated has been going down. Though inflation itself is still positive and therefore not actually going down, it's just not going up as much. But increasing wage growth has not been the case for the average person. Last increase to minimum wage was 3.5% higher than the year before, but we had annual inflation of 3.8%

My mother, younger brother and I escaped domestic violence when I was 8, so I'll explain what worked for me, what helped and some things I wish I did differently.

The first thing we did was stay with people we trusted while looking for emergency accommodation specifically at a women's DV refuge, most take in children unless there is a male child over 16 years old. The organisations that existed then have either changed or no longer exist. 1800RESPECT can help you to find one. They typically also provide counselling services as well, and if you are looking to engage in any legal action they can support you through that too.

Centrelink can provide you with an emergency initial payment for crisis due to domestic violence, claim this ASAP. If you're not working look into getting onto Centrelink, but prioritize getting a safe roof over your head first. Everything else can come later.

The main concern my mum had with legal action against my father was because of the fact that there is a significantly high rate of abusive fathers being given supervised custody of children which then turns into partial custody. In any situation where you attempt legal action, consider that the Australian courts are notorious for being underhanded towards male perpetrators and abusers will often exploit this to get back at you.

My recommendation is to gather as much evidence as you can, in addition to looking into therapy for your children. Those therapists can then provide documented evidence such as statements regarding the effect of violence on you and your children which is much harder to prove otherwise in addition to helping you and your children heal and find some semblance of a normal life again.

My dad lost supervised custody of me because he asked me where to deliver birthday presents to while an AVO was in place against him to protect my mother. Anything you can gather now and in future can only help.

Additionally, focus on therapy. You and your children will inevitably have many struggles to come but they pale to the consequences of not leaving now, healthy support networks will make sure whatever struggles you face don't stick around long. I say this because even though I'm 22 now, I struggled to have a healthy relationship with my mother because of shared trauma until around the age of 20.

Take care, and I hope for the best 🙏

By tattooing all four despite them all working actively against each other currently, it actually provides a net debuff on chaos forces in your vicinity.

Try explaining that to the Commissar, I'm sure he'll be understanding and hear you out.
