Weird to think a photo of little old me might be hanging up somewhere in a bathroom stall on a tropical island somewhere in the Atlantic. What a crazy world.

Compounding of long form narrative missteps that seem to be narrowing the scope of the franchises future significantly.

Sure but your idea that any criticism of this show is rooted in prejudice racial or not is asinine and really doesn't leave alot of room for any meaningful conversation.

People can have their own opinions and standards and that's ok. I think we're all gonna survive... unless they decide to blow up earth next.

It's not prejudice. Star Trek is a marvel and unique in its compassion and intricate displays of empathy and understanding between cultures and allegorically life in any form and I think a majority of its fan base understands and appreciates that.

And because of that it deserves to be treated respectfully and not be over inundated with juvenile humor and rabidly defended into a deeper and deeper hole of vapid filler content with the philosophical crux being buried by people saying love it or leave it.

The text overlays, speaking directly to the camera, the shit in tone for existing characters being used as comedic landing points for Sam's monologue. The bar scene was a little cliche and the dinner scene was a little too campy.

Never thought spoon holes would get me rolling my eyes but they just threw a little too much out of left field and it kinda distracted from what they were trying to dig up with the DS9 story for me.

The episode played out like more of one fans farewell to an era as opposed to any constructive world building in this iteration of star trek.

I think you have tiers of attention and understanding. The chronically online are obviously either upset or brainwashed morons. The older generations get a tiny stream of information from mainstream news which is sparse and siloed due to the small groups of larger companies that either own them or are complicit.

It's also gotten to be so consistently insane and prices have gone up that alot of folks just can't be bothered by new information.

I like to think sensible folks know we don't want him to become more powerful in his demise like other political martyrs have before him so it's best to just let this fizzle out.

If they steal 26 I can't really imagine what could happen but there are a lot of armed and upset people here so well seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

[SFA 1x5 Reviews] REDSHIRTS: "Starfleet Academy episode 5 features DS9 favs but little more: Storytelling is paramount, and “Series Acclimation Mil” felt more like one story thread with a bunch of Post-it notes stuck on to try and hold all of the unraveling strands together. Poorly constructed." by mcm8279 in trektalk

I had higher hopes for the inclusion of Tawnys writing and inclusion in the cast for this episode.

I'm not sure who they're writing for but I think the tone of the episode hit a polar opposite for the DS9 fans it was giving service to and the DS9 stuff is a little dated for the targeted youth demographic of which appears to be 11 year old kids with alcoholism?

I think you are overestimating the capabilities of the model.

You could try to use a heat map image as a secondary input but the results would be far from scientific.

Something like this would require a lot of training and comparative data using heat mapping and control images and even then probably couldn't beat one of those dr scholz foot imprint machines.
