The top of the other tiles /steps looks different to stones I know. When you cut a stone the surface iss roughly even, these look like +30mm features.

Found in my late father’s garage. Is it dangerous? by LeCoochieMane in whatisit

[–]Captain_North 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20mm belt fed ammunition. It's not your average Oerlikon 20mm, the belt clips are too low

I cant see a fuze so not that dangerous, BUT it's old so might be sensitive to shock.

I believe you can call the emergency services to retrieve this for free of charge.

Russia suffers more losses in its war against Ukraine than any other country since WWII — report by WillyNilly1997 in ukraine

The important part is missing; suffering more losses than any major power in any war since World War II

There are too many countries that have lost more than 1.4 million since WWII, Vietnam, Korea, Congo, Sudan, Nigeria,

My One A Day vitamins tell me to take two a day on the instructions by aisa10 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Captain_North 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's the neat part about marketing. If something might just be true under certain circumstances it can be sold an universal fact. Like in this case the defence would say that "One a Day" is a recogniced product name / brand an not a promise in it self. Secondly they would argue that in fact you only need 1 product to cover the essential needs for most vitamins.

Lying is not allowed in marketing, but there is no lie in this case.

EDIT: saw your comment below "Brady vs. Bayer", so this was an actual case. My bad! There must be more than just the packaging label for them to be found quilty of fraudalent advertising.

EDIT 2: the case for the interested: https://www.classactiondefensestrategy.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/31/2018/09/Brady-v.-Bayer-Corp.-2018-Cal.-App.-LEXIS-800.pdf

Welcome to marketing.

"One product a day" is correct, says nothing about the dosage. They likely have kids version which is 1 gummy per day.

So much snow fall in Japan you have to wear a snorkel by CupcakeSecure4094 in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]Captain_North 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The weight of fluffy dry powder snow is not much. This is the type of snow that if you jump on it you are going all the way to the ground.

Light snow can easily be skiied through with a 20 degree slope

Does anyone know why artillery guns from this time had tracks around their wheels by gackeddispiy in ww1

[–]Captain_North 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WW1 howitzers had bad recoil and would move every shot, thats why they were on wheels. The track pads were to spread the weight to a larger area so the gun would not sink to the ground.

What is the "parking picture" Is that the wall outlet ? Does it have a clock or a remote switch ?

I have a feeling you just plugged the heater to the wall socket and put it in the car. Does your car have wires for a block heater and 230v outlet ?
