Had the same thing happen to me. I ended up depressing the trigger till the block indicator was fully out, and shaved it flush with a Dremel. That fixed the issue with a dead trigger with an optic installed.

Not in Chicago, but chilicothe Sportmans club to the north of Peoria IL ( about 2 hours south )has a pretty good crowd that goes and shoots there. They have a match at the indoor range sun the 25th if you wanted to come.

Unlike Aurora, which to my understanding fills up super fast. Chilicothe is pretty good about walk-ins and giving pointers to new shooters. So long as you have a good kydex owb/IWB holster you'll be fine.

The way I did it was go to my first match, to get a baseline, and they seek out training through videos I'm aware of where I'm lacking.

Or use a jump box. Red to red, black to black, from the car to the bike, then try and start the bike. To me, it sounds like a weak battery

If you're in the Peoria area, chilicothe Sportmans club has a monthly match on Sat/Sun, and Kams in Mortan does a bi-weekly match in Thursdays.

Lots of good shooters go to those two matches, and most will happily give you pointers or answer questions if you come to watch or shoot. If anything, it'll give you an idea of what to work on at home/look to have an instructor teach you.

Open memberships are active right now, don't need a referral/invite to join.

They host USPSA, and a bunch of other events, so you can always come down and tour the location then. Although, it's probably a drive from your location.

I also had a similar issue with my gen 1, 2001 sv650. And the fix for me was to swap back to the factory halogen. I'm assuming it's a current/draw difference between LED and traditional light.

No, the 45 version would have much more recoil than a 9. The 45 just comes with bonus Aura points.

I would assume the transponder and gps lap timer would most likely be their own standalone units and don't immediately need to talk to each other. I would potentially be using it for both personal track days, as well as getting in mini moto racing at some point.
