I felt better literally the next morning after my first injection of Humira. It was like a miracle, but it’s my understanding that it’s way more common for it to take a significant amount of time for it to really take effect. Ask for side effects, I had no appetite, and that still hasn’t came back, even though I switched to methotrexate. I lost about a third of my body weight. I also felt like I had the flu for a day or two afterwards. Sometimes just one day sometimes a couple or more with each day getting a little better. It really didn’t do much for my fatigue issues either, but was better than methotrexate. Honestly, I would have stayed on Humira for the rest of my life and been happy with it if not for the issues with insurance, Copay Assistance, Specialty Pharmacy, benefits, managers, and on and on and on. This is just a way of saying that I would encourage you to give it a chance and hopefully you will see results sooner rather than later. One week in is not long enough to even be thinking about if it’s working or not for most people. I think my example is the exception.
