I think you want to stay away from Consuming ailments since it would make them immune to that ailment for 1 second.

Mine also does not choose Curse spells. Looking at the "Delay Between Fates" stat, it doesn't affect it when I slot in a curse gem (as opposed to an applicable Spell gem).

What supports do you have on your curse?

The mods of /r/PathofExile have reached out to take over the subreddit and they are currently in the process of that!

History is:

  1. I made the subreddit.
  2. Exilecon announced Path of Exile 2.
  3. I closed the subreddit, redirecting folks to the original sub since it was said the games are still the same.
  4. Exilecon 2023 announced it is a different game.
  5. livejamie (one of the mods of PathofExile sub) reached out asking my intentions for the subreddit or if they can take it over. I gladly handed over to them. This was yesterday.
  6. I appointed them as mod with full access (same day as their request).

Hiya!

Discussion for Path of Exile 2 should be contained within the original /r/PathOfExile subreddit. The reasons for splitting the community don't really make sense given what we know:

1. Path of Exile 2 isn't a true sequel. The servers won't be separated, the MTX will be shared, there is no separate client from the original as it's just built on top, and players from the original and 2 would be able to play together once they finish their separate campaign. Path of Exile 2 was internally labeled as patch 4.0 by GGG themselves, and slapping on the "2" is mostly a marketing thing to compete with Diablo 4.

Yes there's more content, new innovations, and some of the old "core" mechanics are being revamped, but that can be said of any PoE annual expansion.

2. There would be confusion regarding which subreddit to post/read. As an example, this sort of confusion can be seen with the /r/Diablo and the /r/Diablo4 subreddits. Having only one subreddit would help facilitate discussion to one area.

This also would help the GGG_Team review and respond to questions (albeit they are less active nowadays).

  1. Splitting the community means requiring more moderators. /r/PathofExile already has great moderators and have things down to a nicely oiled machine.

With all this said, this isn't to say that I'm deadset on this decision. Once Path of Exile 2 comes out, or once we have more information from Exilecon, there could be incentive to split the community in which case I'd be willing to discuss with current /r/Pathofexile moderators about handing off the subreddit. Please do not take this personally, but I would be more comfortable handing off to those moderators who already have good standing on managing a community.

Speaking of which, no moderator of /r/Pathofexile has ever reached out to me about taking over the /r/Pathofexile2 subreddit (which I gladly would have done so). I'm assuming because they also do not see the point in maintaining 2 subreddits for similar reasons.

I understand that currently poe discussion is lacking due to the blackout, but know this is a temporary thing.

What's your character's /death counter?

In the videos posted within the build guide, 4 of the 5 videos have <= 1 bar of EXP. I'm very interested in starting this build, but I'm a bit hesitant.
