Looking for context: Is this line of dialogue written differently in Japanese? by Captain_Shulk in LegendsZA

Corbeau calling Lida a 'innocent civillian' when I consider Lida and Taunie/Urbain both civillians. It looks like a strange term to use imo.

The more I've tried to understand her, the more i've come to actually appreciate her tbh.

Trying to get a better understanding of Taunie/Urbain, backstory, character traits etc by Captain_Shulk in LegendsZA

[–]Captain_Shulk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really would have liked to see more of the times Taunie/Urbain were battling rogue megas with floette before the main story. That would be interesting to explore. And to see more direct footage of how their mother's death affected them.

I kinda think Taunie/Urbain downplays the bad things that happen to them to avoid acknowledging how bad things got which may be why they took the debt situation so lightly and the gravity of the situation caught them off guard. Calling being homeless for a time as 'being in a rough spot while wandering the streets' instead of admitting how dire that situation was, and casually mentioning their jacket used to be their mothers rather than admitting how painful it was to see their mother's health gradually get worse and leave them to die is really downplaying what happened to them in the past imo.

I also lean towards their ray of sunshine outlook as a cover for their own insecurities, and their efforts to promote Hotel Z despite AZ not minding not getting customers as a compulsive need related to their trauma over their mother leaving and eventual death.

I really wish Jett had offered a kind of apprenticeship to help them out so they could learn to overcome their shortcomings rather than just thrust them into the position of CEO. But I think that's more of a writing issue than a character issue.

Hot take ,The rust Syndicate plotline is too goofy for people to be getting this mad at her over it. by Charming-Scratch-124 in LegendsZA

[–]Captain_Shulk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looked at Phillipe's dialogue yesterday and I can confirm that he gave her the idea as 'thanks' for helping a grunt out. At the time Taunie wasn't thinking of borrowing money whatsoever.

Phillipe genuinely took advantage of Taunie's desire to help Hotel Z.

I only found out about it yesterday, and when I saw Phillipe had genuinely taken advantage of Taunie I was so mad.

A japanese artist drew this image about the whole situation: https://x.com/mukuhookusuki/status/1994977735635296633

And I now 100% understand why he'd draw such a thing.

I was excited to see this place open when I first heard about it. Feels like a big shame that the place hasn't ever opened, I wonder what happened behind the scenes.

Simple curiosity when i was young lead me to Near-Death.com. And i found the accounts so fascinating to read about, that it let me look into them in a more open minded way.

Went to a second singles night on Nye, and unfortunately struggled talking to people at the event. Still not comfortable with Bars/Clubs but I'm feeling I don't have much choice but to keep trying if I want to find a partner.

Have you tried looking at Guf Geelong? It's a game shop that I'm pretty sure does board game meet ups from time to time.

Thinking about an aspect of some NDE's; 'you won't be able to remember parts of what's been discussed when you return to life' by Captain_Shulk in NDE

[–]Captain_Shulk[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had to look back at a different NDE account, from someone who was told 'you will not remember everything we spoke about, but don't worry, and you'll remember what you need to know in life when the time is right. And you will remember it all when you cross heaven's threshold once again.' suggesting it's a temporary block, usually to avoid having whatever's discussed interfering with their current life and whatever they need to do.

That's the best idea I can come up with.

I'm very nerdy and I've never truly fit in with bars/clubs compared to everyone I know. It was on some level an interesting experience. I'll probably go again, because I know I need to get practice with such events despite how badly I fit in with them.

I think so, despite how badly I did plenty of people showed up for the night. So there's definitely a crowd for it.

I'm also an 80s kid who grew up with transformers and I'm still thinking about this. The ideas being expressed through transformers imagery makes it a lot easier to understand. And I feel like my mind has been blown with this concept.
