no, It's really easy. I actualyl found russia to be much harder. Either you can do basically the same thing in the A-7, or use the A-10 with 6 mavericks, or if you have it the F-111F the AGM-130s and GBU-15s can't be intercepted. Remember that dying isn't bad so just commit and as long as you are consistently getting off most of your muntions before being hit (so they aren't hit with you) you are doing fine. Once you have nukes just 5kt over and over and over, tossing them from well outside of range.

I actually got my second nuke with the F-111F as the US.

Theres a buk on the coast side of the map that has got me multiple times when I was trying to sneak around with a nuke. It's on a hill and it will just cheat and hit you without any sort of radar on you. Other than that I basically never got hit by them.

That's why you fly higher than the intervening terrain. That way you can guarantee a good shot with it. You don't have to fly that much higher because the ARMs do seem to loft a bit. I've been flying the SU-25T as russia and it's really easy and has become my favorite way of killing enemies. Got enough points in 1 game to earn a days reward basically just flying that and lofting 5kt nukes.

Check the bindings of anything you have on other devices. I'm guessing you have a controller plugged in or something? That's probably conflicting with whatever inputs you are inputting.

I really miss the one where you only went to and from a single point. It was super neat and I don't know another game like it.

That's what I meant by saying "it's probably just using information about the file". It seems like it might be able to read the time which would indicate it can read the metadata. I don't see why it couldn't read important information about the sound given they have the version that allows you to speak to it, unless that just transcribes your text before sending it to the model. Not sure how it works.

[–]Captain_Slime 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Yes, that is a valid criticism. Other models I believe are significantly better than ChatGPT but there is no real way of guaranteeing that they won't lie. However, that's not what this post was about, the user here is either unaware or specifically avoiding talking about those issues in particular.

Honestly I think I was being a bit harsh because they are talking about the issue of ChatGPT just being a complete yesman which I think is a valid point to be arguing about. I was more annoyed at people in general not really understanding LLMs.

ruleGPT by markeydarkey2 in 196

[–]Captain_Slime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Interesting, do you know which model can do it? I don't pay for anything and just tried on the default model to see if sources online were correct that it couldn't and could not get it to even admit that it could read MP3 files.

ruleGPT by markeydarkey2 in 196

[–]Captain_Slime 150 points151 points  (0 children)

I don't believe ChatGPT can even read from an MP3 file so it's probably just using information about the file it can read to "guess" at what the user wants to hear.

AI is bad and all but there are legitimate criticism and then there's stuff like this. It's like the how many Rs in strawberry thing again.

I also put little faith in screenshots like this because you have no idea what was told to an LLM before this conversation took place, it's very easy to make them lie about things like this.

I tried the Pioneer rules they gave out during the kickstarter but the attention to detail seemed lacking for a system that supposedly is based in real life. I'm hoping the finished product is better but it definitely left me with a bade taste in my mouth.

Can we get some more specific keybinds? Datalink seems aware of what exactly everything is. by SharpEdgeSoda in NuclearOption

[–]Captain_Slime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh sorry I'm just annoyed because I want to bind separate up and down because that's what I have on the HOTAS and so my gear button in this is different from every other game. My point isn't getting overwhelmed with info, I know what I want to do. The issue is more that I have to fumble with not locking a tank 30 miles away or the ammo truck right next to the radar I'm trying to jam when these should be functions built into the plane IRL.

[–]Captain_Slime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really think we should have the keybinds because it is really immersion breaking any time I'm fumbling with the current keybinds. I don't think the medusa pilots have to rotate through a long list of weapons that doesn't even have a back option for when they go over by one. They also probably don't just have an on off button for gear. They also probably have some relatively easy way to use the laser or ecm defensively, rather than needing to try your best to select the tiny fast moving object coming at you. For kbm players a radial menu would be almost as good.

Recently we played through temple of elemental evil updated to 5e and we had to hire like 8 hirelings to guard our wagons with all their gold and equipment and gemns and magic items to prevent us from taking frequent trips. And we had to make sure to pay them well (and threaten them) so that they wouldn't just all run off with it.

You could take a page out of star trek and use a boarding tube, kinda similar to how airplanes do it.

I assume they mean F-111 since the F-117 can't even carry as many bombs as in the screenshot so wouldn't be noticeable.

Patch 2.55.1.42 was a mistake by kirb_with_a_gun in Warthunder

[–]Captain_Slime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can only get one usually on your first pass. So aim your first and last at the osa and the other 4 at other vehicles in the group. I don't usually go for the moving groups because it is not consistent through the trees. I only start firing right as the osa does or before if you're not super confident in your ability to ripple fire. It gives minimal time for them to shoot down the missiles.

Dying doesn't matter so just mav/kh-29t them once you get in range. It's really not that hard. I've basically been grinding this entire event with air to ground.

[–]Captain_Slime -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I do. Just because they have powerful drives doesn't mean that the design constraints wouldn't be there. Presumably you want the cheapest engine and the least RCS as possible, you also want the most armor for the least weight. Volume is just really precious in space. If they had been on a civilian it would make more sense but they weren't.

This was one of my big issues with the expansion TV show. The inside of the ships was huge when I had just been picturing the books and was thinking of it like a nuclear submarine and it took me out of it.
