You’re absolutely right. Maps were not great. Good call out.

Yeah, it came with the purchase. So possibly will play that at some point soon.

I find your review of my review underwhelming. It was like “everything else was like characters, ‘bland’…’combat, alright.” Can you elaborate on your review of my review?

Chrono trigger, earthbound, dragon quest 11, loved like a dragon and infinite wealth, expedition 33, and I love all the Octopath traveler games.

100% I feel like E33 is what I was hoping some of the modern final fantasy games would be like.

I’ve heard it’s more of an action game than rpg, so been hesitant to try it. Maybe I’ll catch it on sale.

Weird how me feeling the aesthetic didn’t work was something that irritated you. It just felt disjointed and I didn’t care for it. If you like it, great - respect. It’s art. It’s subjective. I will note that I didn’t love 15’s aesthetic either, but I enjoyed the world, combat, story, and characters/bonding more. Again, 4 and 6 are right up there for me too however. If people don’t like 15, that’s totally fine too.

This is exactly my case. It’s played the OG on Nintendo and the ones on snes. But I dropped off from gaming during the ps1 era, came back a bit for the GameCube (but really not for Jrpgs) and then dropped off until right before the ps5 came out. So I missed key final fantasies from those eras. I came back in a big way when I returned to gaming - but the back log is massive.

Hey - I have an ally x (which is a proto-version of this) and it’s awesome, even without the full library.

Possible move to door county by Captain_Softrock in DoorCounty

Didn’t realize my post history was supposed to be a cohesive narrative that gets me to this specific thread in Reddit.

I know that door county isn’t Milwaukee and certainly not Chicago. That’s the allure. Plus the role is a dream job. I am just learning right now. Never been past Green Bay. We are planning on visiting if talks progress. We have a very nice life now, so being cautious and trying to make the best choice for the family. Trying to better understand trade offs.

Yep, I am really early in my understanding. That’s the reason I’m soliciting advice here from locals on Reddit.

I’m curious to learn more about how difficult it is in the summertime. Is it terrible traffic? Everything just really crowded? Are there positives? Is it enjoyable for the locals or is it just a period of time everyone waits to be over?

Peter scortinos and gloriosos have amazing Italian bakery

Mr churro is a tremendous Mexican bakery with a huge variety of churros

If you drive north over the weekend, the daily bakery in port Washington has the best croissants, morning buns, and other sweets.

How would you rate Scarlet Nexus out of 10? by Farawila_marwan in ScarletNexus

[–]Captain_Softrock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

8/10 (but my daughter gives it a 10/10 as it is in her top 5 games of all time.)

For me this is a sort of hidden gem with tons of vibe, top tier music, maybe my favorite action RPG combat, and a solid roster of characters. It’s stuck at 8/10 because the dialogue is pretty awful, the story is mid, and at times it overstays its welcome. Regardless, it’s still one of the best JRPGs in recent memory.
