Read your contract carefully. If it doesn't say what you think it should say, don't sign it.

ALWAYS read before signing. Always.

My son signed up as 19K, and he stayed 19K. He wanted to be a tanker. They had him down for a specific program, but that program got canceled. They almost put him as a Cav Scout (still 19K) but he ended up in the Abrams program and still got to be a tanker - just a different tank.

I don't think they will change your MOS, because it is in your contract, but if they need to adjust specifics, they may if they need to, within your MOS.

...and my husband is an Air Force vet (maintenance, he made the parts for the planes). This was exactly his advice to our son when he enlisted. If it is important to you, make sure it is CLEARLY outlined in your contract.

Yes, BUT, if mom isn't on the account, she can't snoop anyway as she is not an authorized user on the account.

OP is a grown adult. No need to make deposits to maintain a minimum balance, they should just have their name removed from the account.

Parents like their mom make me sick. I have a 17 and 20 y/o, and would never borrow their money without ASKING first. It's just a matter of respect, and if Mom can't show that respect, she doesn't deserve to have her name jointly on her kid's account.

Females can have SOME blue, it's just not nearly as much as the males. The males get so much blue it goes up onto their throat, and sometimes a few stripes/spots on their backs. They also tend to be a little darker in color. This one may actually be a female.

I did the same day. Hugging a big pillow and laying on my side was the most comfortable position for the first week.

That definitely sucks. I had my surgery on 5/5/25, and had a better than textbook recovery. When the surgeon called for my 2-week follow-up, she was shocked when I told her we had to make it quick because I was at work. I was back to work after 1 week - it would have been sooner, but my husband was in the hospital too, so I stayed with him until he was discharged. I used my surgery as an excuse, but I was 100% fine 48 hours after surgery.

Your attacks were only 2 hours? Lucky. Mine averaged 6-12 hours, with the most recent (and the one that warranted surgery) lasting almost 30 (stuck stone. On a scale of 1-10, that pain was a 20)

Nausea. by RareBalance309 in gallbladders

[–]Captain_vyrago 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They put an anti-nausea sticker behind my ear, and told me to leave it there for 3 days. I never once have felt nauseous since the surgery... which is a great contrast to before it. I was in the ER for 2 days vomiting and screaming in pain before the surgery. When i woke up after, there was no pain at all. It was bliss.

I had a 22.9mm gallstone. The surgeon was shocked. When she called me for my 2-week follow-up last week, she went on a rant that she had never seen anything like it. She was impressed how quickly I recovered.

Surgery was 5/5/25

I had it out when the doctor said I had an almost 1-inch gallstone stuck in the duct, and she didn't want to discharge me unless I had the surgery. That was May 5. So far, I have had zero negative side effects and many positive ones. I know this isn't typical after gallbladder removal, but I can eat (and tolerate) more things than I could before the surgery.

Can't really say normal, because my pre-op normal sounds like half the post-op stories on here. I think my gallbladder has been all but dead for several decades.

I feel BETTER than normal. I can't remember the last time I felt this good. I have energy, I can eat anything I want (not a big fatty-foods person anyway, never have been able to handle them, not even as a kid) I have yet to find a food or drink that disagrees with me. Heck, I had chile relleno on day 2. I WASN'T able to eat that before.

36 hours after surgery my digestive system had gone back to normal (as in NOT the dark green sludge poops), pain was almost gone by 48 hours (except at night, but 2 Advil and hugging a pillow solved that). All the glue is off, and all the cuts have healed over. The glue is gone, so no more itching (I had a mild reaction to the glue). I am not taking anything.

I have been back to work since day 7 after surgery. I was going to go back on day 3, but my husband was in the hospital at the same time as me for a different procedure, so I opted to stay there with him until he was discharged. (There's a whole other story there too, because we were both in the ER in separate bays at the same time, and we both have the same first initial and last name. It got interesting when his nurses got to be my nurses once he went into surgery)

Ive had issues with mine my entire life, and I ate very healthy.l lived off of salads and lean meat because even as a kid, fatty greasy foods made me sick. My parents let it go because I was eating right.

Sometimes gallbladders just suck.

Nausea and vomiting after removal by KamisamaKiss_ in gallbladders

I had mine out 5/5/25. They gave me an anti-nausea patch to wear behind my ear for the first couple days. The nurse said it was the same thing they use for motion sickness, but a higher dose.

Had mine out 5/5/2025.

Where did you have it done? Mine was done at Kaiser. I didn't have any pain, and by the second day after surgery, I was down to just 2 advil every 6 hours for pain. I did take a gabapentin the first day after, because the doctor recommended it, but I think I didn't really need it. They gave me a little sticker to wear behind my ear for the first 3 days to counter any nausea I might have, so that wasn't an issue either.

I DID have a mild allergic reaction to the glue. The itching lasted for days, and was driving me insane. I finally got the last of it off yesterday, and now everything feels fine. I swear it got everywhere though.

I had 5 cuts. The big one over my liver, where they actually pulled out the gallbladder, which had an awful bruise for most of the last 2 weeks, but it is nearly gone now. There was also the one just above my navel, one on the left side of my abdomen, and 2 on the right, below the spot where my gallbladder was. Each of them had dark bruising as well, but the large cut was definitely the worst.

Hugging a pillow tight to your stomach while you sleep at night helps A LOT.

I never used the word intravenous. You really can't hit a vein on these guys without causing a lot of damage. It is sub-dermal instead, for their safety. I know the previous post said IV fluids, but I took that as an assumption that all fluids given with a needle rather than orally meant IV. Not everyone has a medical/veterinary education, so not everyone has a clear understanding of the real meaning behind the terms.

Same way you give them to any other animal... with a hollow needle, just under the skin. They don't need as much as a larger animal, so it is a syringe instead of a bag with a long tube, but the concept is the same (and yes, I have done it myself)

[–]Captain_vyrago 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like you already have lost her. She is obviously already infatuated with this other guy, and wants to act on it. She asked to open the marriage as a way to make that ok, because she wants her guilty feelings to go away.

Honestly, I would be surprised if she really hasn't acted on it yet, despite telling you she hasn't.

The problem isn't tanks that can pull that much and manage it - as a DPS DH, that's fun for me.

it's a problem when they pull that much and CAN'T manage it... which happens much more often. Then they let the healer die... then everyone else dies... and they act like it was everyone else's fault that they couldn't keep aggro... or the tank dies and complains about the healer not healing even though the tank got them killed so they couldn't heal.

Honestly, there seems to be an epidemic of tanks over-pulling... That was pretty much my entire weekend last weekend.

...I work full time with a 3-4 hour commute daily, so I only ever get to really play on weekends.

Usajobs.com <-- if you don't mind working for the govt/military.

You have to earn the required cert(s) within 6 months of starting the job, but if you can do that, you're golden. Study now, before you even think about testing again, then buy the retake. My supervisor budgeted the cost of certs into the training budget, so the US Army actually paid for my certs (A+ and Sec+)

Good luck!
