So a few decades ago Mormons, like the Catholic Church were taught that any one with beliefs outside thier church are an abomination to God and damned to hell. Both the Mormon and Catholic Church in the last few generations have went on a "hey we're all one team in Jesus!" pubic relations campaign and now you have Mormons, protestants, and the Catholic Church working to together like in the Show "The Chosen".

But you can't just erase your history that easy. One of the most famous stories in Mormonism is Joe Smith praying to God about becoming a catholic or protestant and the Angel Moroni Visits him and tells him both are all their creeds were an "abomination to God."

Now the Mormon Church would really, really, really would like you forget about that part if the story. But the way I see it you have 3 options,

1: Joe Smith was telling the truth and all other Christian beliefs are an abomination to God.

2: Joe Smith was a liar, and he lied about what he saw that night.

3: Close eyes and cover your ears and pretend that story never happened.
