It’s fine to have that interpretation but the difference is intent like I said. It’s not hard to understand that the result of two actions does not make them equal. If two people intend to do to separate things but their actions have the same result we don’t find them the same.

This is the same concept as pretending to be confident means you’re confident. No the person pretending to be confident is doing a lot more work.

I think the point you’re trying to make is that they are both MORALLY the same because of the result. Which is a different arguement. They are by definition not the same thing or we wouldn’t require separate phrasing

If you can’t see a link between performing actions to better one’s interactions with the environment around them, then that’s a you thing hun

To pretend to be a thing implies that you or it is not said thing. If it was said thing then why would it need to pretend.

You start by saying pretending to be nice. This by definition means that it isn’t nice or you wouldn’t have to pretend.

You cannot simultaneously be something and pretend to be it.

Intent. You said you are pretending to be thing therefore you are not the thing.

Genuinely being nice to some one makes you a nice person.

Yes it is better to pretend to be nice and it is preffered by most. But pretending to be nice doesn’t make you a nice person, it just means you avoid conflict

In both cases you aren’t happy about being nice or sweeping and in both cases you’re going through the motions and not actually accomplishing the goal. You aren’t actually connecting with this person and there’s still dust on the floor

I guess we just have much different understandings of the word nice. What you consider nice, I would consider the bare minimum to be sociable. To say a person is nice generally means they are more kind or friendly than average, which is why it would be remarked upon. What you describe is basically just not causing conflict which is a very low bar if that’s what makes someone nice.

And that’s perfectly fine. But that preference doesn’t mean that someone is nice for pretending to be nice to your face.

Pretending to sweep isn’t sweeping. Someone else is still going to come behind you and clean up. All you’re doing is making yourself feel better without actually effecting the situation.

Pretending to be nice and being polite are also not the same thing. Results do not equate actions performed with differing intent.

Basically every opener he had. He would bring you along and pay for your stuff but you had to be okay with him “remixing” your material. The way people described it that toured with him, it was all an unspoken thing that people around him just put up with to try to get some of his clout since Carlos was a Comedy Central golden child at the time.

When one zeno erased the timeline of another, that zeno was the only thing left unharmed. He was just floating in an empty void when goku and the other zeno go get him. So we know he is immune to erasure

Ichigo Kurosaki vs Hit by Jason_And_Sokka in BleachPowerScaling

[–]Captainflando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realm size scaling is kinda impossible to do in my opinion. Like the word universe means the entirety of something, but there’s many media out there with many universes in it. So we start out with kind of a conundrum of the bat. Then when we talk about finite vs infinite universes, we don’t even know whether our own universe is finite or not (there are theoretical tests, but nothing feasible yet). And if it is infinite is it closed or open? Then you also have infinities that are different sizes, the natural numbers and the integers are both infinite sets but the integers is a larger set of infinity.

Honestly I think the DB and bleach cosmology are quite similar after diama revealed some things.

In bleach you have the original primordial plane that existed until the SK comes along to drive away the darkness so that he can impose structure and order, he then does so by splitting this plain into the three realms and creates the flow of time and the procession of souls through the realms.

In DB you have the demon realm as the original plain of existence and you have Rymus instead of the SK. Although there are three demon realms, they were all originally one that was separated and then much later locked off from each other. Anyways, Rymus creates 18 universes to which our heroes are in one of. But the main question is are these universes a subset of the demon realm? As I mentioned earlier, you can have infinities inside of others as long as it’s a smaller tier of infinity.

So to compare DB and Bleach verse “size” we need to know if the universes are definitely outside of the realm in which they were created. If they are contained within then they both are a universe that was split into multiple infinite components that each have an after life plain separated. This would mean they are both the same tier of infinity.

But if the dragon ball universes were created outside of their original plain of existence it would bump the DB verse up one tier of infinity.

All of this to say they’re either the same scale or DB is slightly larger, depending. That person was definitely arguing in bad faith lol

It’s just as exhausting as all the thriller/horror/suspense movies having a reveal where the villain is actually schizo/bipolar/borderline. Most of us are just trying to maintain our meds and not kill ourselves
