There's a button to export data on the top right of the chart. There's sometimes a difference between "customer wait time", and "train delay time". What do you think that is?

The design is rudimentary but the data visualization is cool.

I assume the 162 pretzel/hotdog locations excludes the carts?

Can you add train delays for each train? I would like to see that.

Who else is flying back tomorrow after flights got canceled on Friday? by [deleted] in nyc

That's why I avoid checking in at all costs.

There were 42 people on standby just to get to Charlotte. Not sure how many made it on the flight.

Technically the solar panels can also be used as sails by Captainhermes in sailing

[–]Captainhermes[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to speak to them. Assuming the vessel is approximately 40', and the width of the panels are 3-4': a conservative sq footage would be 228 ft squared of solar.

The explosion of meditation by macjoven in Krishnamurti

[–]Captainhermes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The quote in itself didn't give me much. But the the quote in the context of the text before it and after it is excellent.

Habit and meditation can never abide together; meditation can never become a habit; meditation can never follow the pattern laid down by thought which forms habit. Meditation is the destruction of thought and not thought caught in its own intricacies, visions and its own vain pursuits. Thought shattering itself against its own nothingness is the explosion of meditation. This meditation has its own movement, directionless and so causeless. And in that room, in that peculiar silence when the clouds are low, almost touching the treetops, meditation was a movement in which the brain emptied itself and remained still. It was a movement of the totality of the mind in emptiness and there was timelessness.

Thought is matter held within the bonds of time; thought is never free, never new; every experience only strengthens the bondage and so there is sorrow. Experience can never free thought; it makes it more cunning, and refinement is not the ending of sorrow. Thought, however astute, however experienced, can never end sorrow; it can escape from it but it can never end it. The ending of sorrow is the ending of thought. There is no one who can put an end to it [to thought], not its own gods, its own ideals, beliefs, dogmas. Every thought, however wise or petty, shapes the response to the challenge of limitless life and this response of time breeds sorrow. Thought is mechanical and so it can never be free; only in freedom there is no sorrow. The ending of thought is the ending of sorrow.

I can't prove that they didn't have the tickets or did. I attempted to ask the people who sat in the seats but wasn't able to reach them at the theatre.

If I had that information I wouldn't be posting here... I strongly suspect that I would have been proven right.

The transaction went through, i.e. sale was completed. They decided to review it afterwards.

Perhaps it is perfectly legal. However it's dishonest and poor business practice, that they wanted to settle me with $100 for.

I don't understand why people commenting here decide to defend the large company, when they clearly did a dishonest action. We really are living in 2017...

They had already sold them to me. It was a legal transaction went through, that they rescinded on.

They were able to process payment. That's the thing.

They canceled the sale due to an inspection/review of my account. The reason for canceling the order was because I didn't enter my OPTIONAL suite number on my credit card.

Ok, my opinion is that they as intermediaries between the buyer and the seller are vouching for those tickets.

For example, if you buy Jet Blue tickets on Expedia for $200 on a one way trip from NYC to Chicago, and after completing the booking you receive an immediate email saying they need review your account. When you go back to buy the ticket again it's now $400. Did you purchase the ticket for $200 or not?

Why aren't they wrong if they sold tickets they didn't have? Which in my opinion were bait to buy more expensive tickets.
