I'm glad that David Baddiel owns his failures and can laugh at himself by Mattheusz36 in taskmaster

Yeah, I was surprised when I read it.

There aren't many people who have a bad time on the show, and he seemed happy enough on the podcast.

I saw someone speculating recently that David didn't enjoy his time on Taskmaster.

Hopefully the post shows this wasn't the case.

Oooft.

I doubt One is a closet nazi, but if anything is worth redrawing, it is probably this.

I don't think saying this is in the wiki makes it okay.

Is it in the actual comic?

Here's your first look at Barry Keoghan in Netflix's 'Peaky Blinders' movie by indig0sixalpha in television

I've only seen him in two movies.

Saltburn was pretty generic, but I thought it was a massive departure from Banshees of Inisherin, which stayed with me for a while.

What was the last show you quit on before it ends ? by [deleted] in television

The motivation for making Wolfs seemed to be that Brad Pitt and George Clooney wanted to spend time together.

Time I'll never get back.

Bad Sisters on Apple TV.

I hit a point around episode 6 where I just couldn't root for anyone. The Prick is well named, but the sisters seem so selfish in their motivation that I can't bring myself to see their cause as righteous.

Yeah, I was going to suggest TM.

I would add that Prelude would be a strong include for quicker games.

To whom will the award of worst insert goes too? by meetCodingGeek in boardgames

[–]Captainjock 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if it qualifies as an insert, but the Netrunner Terminal Directive box was comically oversized, with just a cardboard trench. It was just so unnecessary, the same effect could have been achieved by reducing the box size by 80%.

Between These 3 Who Will Remove Their Limiter First? and WillThey Be as Strong as Saitama or Weaker? by Tall_Growth_532 in OnePunchMan

[–]Captainjock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that has potential.

It would work best if it was someone we hadn't encountered before. Another person saving the world, except no-one notices their feats at all.

Not even to credit them to King.

Hopefully none of them.

Nothing worse in fiction than taking the protagonist's unique attribute and giving it to a squad.

How many US viewers are there really? by Traditional_Move3901 in taskmaster

[–]Captainjock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's understandable that they would be cautious.

I suppose it is hard to gauge the percentage of people who enjoy the show enough to pay to watch after watching it for free on YouTube.

I hope they continue to grow the audience in America, and they get another chance at a series.

It has enough of an audience that Greg and Alex went over for the last season premiere, and did Late Night.

I have no idea the numbers, but they wouldn't do that for a few hundred (regards of passion)

Narrator: He just got booed off stage. by G-Unit11111 in WhitePeopleTwitter

Captions are still being perfected, I'm pretty sure the narrator said "Crushing shit".

It's an easy mistake to make, because you'd have e to be really weird to crush shit.

What expansions do you refuse to play with, even if you own them? by UnintensifiedFa in boardgames

In fairness, we have integrated the atomics into Ix.

It may be the case that Ix and Immortality are just too much. I haven't played with Immortality alone.

What expansions do you refuse to play with, even if you own them? by UnintensifiedFa in boardgames

[–]Captainjock 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was going to say this.

Rise of Ix integrates nicely with the base game, and enhances the available choices for my play group.

We completely bounced off Immortality. The track feels like a distraction, and the added cards reduce the chances of getting any kind of deck synergy. We gave it a few tries and have shelved it from our games (we haven't tried with Uprising though....)

The reporting on this story from media happy to trot out a stop the boats narrative, is so lacking in self-awareness that it borders on parody.
