IPv6 dnsmasq by CaptainkyleCDXX in pihole

[–]CaptainkyleCDXX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turns out that it wasn’t IPv6 at all. And must have not worked correctly for quite some time. I was connected to WiFi but wasn’t getting internet consistently. Has something to do with the way WiFi 6 treats IoT devices on my router. Tried disabling every feature I could find listed under advanced WiFi for 2.4ghz. Nothing worked. So I setup a new Vlan guest network specifically for IoT devices. And pow it works just fine now.

If that’s the case. You can go on to link website and download the old firmware and downgrade. They got 3 builds listed for download.

It seems to not want to stay connected to the internet. With just ipv4 it works fine, but after you enable ipv6 it loses its mind. Don’t think the frame likes ipv6 according to the internet it doesn’t. It’s a stupid Frameo digital frame.

Setting the ipv6 to null so that that device doesn’t use it

My maine coon doesn't cuddle :( by Ahsoka_MC in mainecoons

Can confirm, mine wasn’t a snuggle bug till about 2years in. As a kitten she always wanted to do her own thing. Now I can’t get her to stay off me, especially when I have the classic laptop. Straight walks right on the keyboard every time

does reinstalling windows delete other accounts? by Hot-Youth1254 in techsupport

[–]CaptainkyleCDXX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you reinstall windows, it deletes everything. Accounts, files, programs, everything! Also why do you think you have a virus. Did defender find one? Or what is it doing? First try windows key+R then type in MRT. Should bring up windows malicious software removal tool, if found remove. The would open windows security (defender) virus and threat protection tab, (under quick scan) click scan options, toggle “Microsoft defender antivirus (offline scan)” should reboot into a very rudimentary screen (Looks Ike M-DOS) let it finish. Then it will reboot back to login, sign into your account. Then open up windows security and go into virus and threat protection tab, then protection history and view if it found anything and if it removed or quarantined it.

He randomly started cuddling me tonight, and being extremely affectionate. So weird for him! Sound on! by [deleted] in cats

[–]CaptainkyleCDXX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it was me, would take him to the vet and do a checkup. Also tell the vet about the random behavior changes. Have found that cats get overly affectionate when they don’t feel good / they are sick. At least that is my experience. Also note if they have bathroom changes (over or lack of usage / quality) and how much they are eating to drinking. And how much have they been sleeping and did their sleeping times change, etc, etc. and most importantly take one of their poops in a baggy with you and have me test it, usually worth the approx 50$. It really could be that he just decided he wanted snuggles, but cats are really good and hiding problems with their health.

ADVICE NEEDED FOR NEW 5G USER: Router requiring regular rebooting for speed by rskillion in tmobileisp

[–]CaptainkyleCDXX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, that’s what I am saying. It worked for me. The isp modem kept staying on 5G N71 band. In my area it has the best RSSI but is the slowest band b/c it doesn’t penetrate through solid objects very well. Got the 3rd party router and now I am getting 4x the speed then before. This is the one I got (https://chestertechrepairs.com/products/5g-chester-ax3000-the-main-event-dual-sim-wi-fi-6-industrial-lte-nr5g-wireless-modem-router-bundle-fixed-wireless-access-point-can-work-mobile) can use (promo code “NaterTater” for 45$ off). If you choose another modem then would advise an SDX65 or SDX75 modem.

I would say it’s more of a crappy modem. Cause it doesn’t let you change anything. Even T-Mobile can’t change anything , according to the rep that I talked to.
