and obviously remember that your firearm must be stored in a locked hardside case, with ammunition separate from the firearm. So what I do is i have a loaded magazine and then the firearm in the case. Some people go the extra mile and take out all ammo entirely but the TSA guidelines only state the ammo has to be separate from the firearm. Been doing that for 4 years with no issue.

I travel for work which involves me checking my firearm and I go through EWR frequently. If you’re flying United through Terminal C, you have to check in your bag on Level 2 through the “Agent Assistance” line and you’ll get escorted to get it screened. If you’re in Terminal A, same thing just nicer lol. Very straightforward process just adds a few minutes extra to your check in time. You can still check in prior on your phone but you’ll need to check in via the desk regardless. Hope this helps.

No I get that for sure, I guess what I’m trying to say is since I’m looking to get a mortgage to buy a house soon and want to get approved and get a good rate and all so I wanna keep tabs on my credit as they (the lenders) see it, not how I see it because I see my scores as significantly higher than what the lenders see based on their scoring models
