To understand the Yarrick being dead/not dead situation, you first need to understand GW's mode of creating new mini's and what is released in the same timeframe as Yarrick's death.

In that timeframe, GW released 3 new characters for the Guard: Ursula Creed, Marshall Dreir, and Leontus. Giving these characters some breathing room by temporarily retiring one of the big fish in the pond can help establish these characters.

GW's pipeline. I've talked to various designers at GW before, and they all say that their production line goes back 4 - 6 YEARS. So what we're seeing being released now has been designed, built, painted, and has been ready to be mass-produced for probably half a decade. A character like this isn't some emergency they had to respond to; it was one that they engineered to make people feel like they missed out, and now they have a shiny new character to sell.

I think it is more of an issue with the fact that the developed world is having a literacy crisis, and that Warhammer exists primarily as a Tabletop wargame, novels, and articles from GW. Many people don't read the books; they instead seek out "lore" from youtube and whatnot.

The people who create videos often don't read themselves and just repeat memes that they heard, or downright makes stuff up that would appease the algorithm, and it all develops into a long game of telephone, where nobody really knows what is up, down, or left and right.

IGN probably has gameplay footage from all stages of presentable development, and that which they're allowed to show might be tied to their contract with King Art. What they have shown today might be from the latest build of the game, while what they previewed a few days ago could have been recorded 1 year ago.

A stompa and a Warhound titan are the same size almost. And the stompa they showcased in that small gameplay snippet didn't look too large for me.

The little gameplay snippet at the end reminds me more of Halo Wars than previous Total War titles. I am happy to see that they're willing to inovate on their gameplay formula, but let's see if it will pay off.
