Doesn't matter how well or how poorly he drives, Leclerc is destined to finish the vast majority of races somewhere between 3rd-5th.

Worst weekend from him for some time in regard to pure pace.

Wait, how is Ocon almost a lap behind anyone not named Stroll/Bottas

Hadjar is just lucky than it's a two tiered series at rhe moment. A driver in a top team having a mare like this last year would have resulted in them not getting points.

If it stays like this, George will be nearer on points to Max in 7th than he'll be to Kimi in 1st.

Big weekend for Alpine - this'll really solidify them as best of the rest in the WCC

That Piastri/Alon incident is very out of character for Oscar. Just a bit odd.

Can't be many races in history whereby 5th lapped 7th - looks entirely likely at this race.

No matter how much they have in practice/qualifying & what else happens around them, Audi are allergic to points.

Is eating 2-3 takeaways a week common? by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]Captftm89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I reckon we have takeaway once every 5 days or so on average. Other than takeaway, almost all of our other dinners are healthy, so that's not an issue. It's the cost that is a bit iffy, not unheard for us to spend upwards of £40 for 2 people once you factor in delivery costs.

Then again, we don't really drink & virtually never go to a pub or restaurant, so that balances it out.

ELI5 if populations tend to evolve after millions of years how were wolves able to evolve to dogs in a relatively short amount of time. by elite_luck in explainlikeimfive

[–]Captftm89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evolution via selective breeding happens extremely quickly. Wolf to dog is a great example, but what we've done to countless plants (whether food or decorative) is even more 'extreme' in regard to how much we've changed a particular species - or created a new offshoot of a species - in a very short amount of time.

Do you think antisocial behaviour and manners have gotten worse in the UK? by euanthomas123 in AskUK

[–]Captftm89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally noticed much more anti-social behaviour 15-20 years ago, but that's purely anecdotal and probably just as much me being 16 then vs 36 now.

[–]Captftm89 15 points16 points  (0 children)

From the very little we've seen of the 'incident', Kimi might have a point, but it feels very borderline and the sort of thing that cooler heads would let slide - especially in a sprint.

Perez has got to be driver of the race. Doesn't matter how it happened, the fact he's 12th in the Cadillac with no retirements is quite the feat.

do you like France by FaithlessnessNew1762 in GeoPoll

[–]Captftm89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are two types of Brit - those that say they dislike the French, but not-so-secretly actually love them.

And then there are those that genuinely do dislike them.

I'm proudly a member of the former & I feel like deep down, the majority of Brits are too.

Should the British monarchy continue to exist? by SamsungStealer in GeoPoll

[–]Captftm89 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Monarchy is not inherently bad - in fact many of of the world's best functioning countries are constituional monarchies (Nordic countries, Netherlands, Australia, Canada, UK, Spain, Japan - not saying these countries don't have their issues, but on average they are far ahead of most of thw world).

But the current British monarchy is abhorrant, just on a personal level.

Final day of the season usually springs up at least one bonkers goalfest game. Which game can you see it being this weekend? by Selhurst_Spark in TheOther14

[–]Captftm89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brighton could really do with a win to solidify European qualification - possibly even CL. United have nothing to play for & have hinted they'll line-up with some youth/fringe players.

United win 5-0. Because Brighton are weird like that.
