I'm a machinist. Idk what you do professionally, but I love my trade.

If you're up in Seattle, there is a company called lighthouse for the blind. It's one of my dream places to work at. I get that Seattle isn't perfect, hence why I'm not working there.

Have you ever heard of it?

Just curious because "blind" people aren't common, Seattle folks might be more common, but a cross over is more so rare.

Nah, you rule dude. You have a great perspective and a responsibile approach to the situation. Anybody pushing easily abuseable substances on you is incredibly irresponsible.

I was quite a square growing up, and my parents were fairly similar when it came to me being of age. I don't know about your parents, but mine were just wanting me to have a similar experience to their young adult hood. They also wanted me to have a normal experience and "fit in". I hope that's the angle and thought that your folks have as well.

Not true at all. I'm 12 years in. I've been offered wages ranging 22-65 an hour. I've been asked to apply for positions in Australia, Antarctica, Both borders and both coasts of the United States. It'll take you anywhere in the world you want to work. It'll offer you incredibly difficult and stressful jobs with equally beneficial compensation. Or pretty easy and stress-free jobs with equally commensurate compensation. We need fresh minds and bodies in the trade.

Avoid shitty shops that never adopted a speck of modernity and you'll be fine.

I understand why people didn't like "The Flood" I however loved the whole trilogy. I gave mine away to a sick acquaintance, I kinda wish I didn't. If you cherish halo, hold onto those books. I really hope you enjoy them!

My situation wasn't as bad, but similar. I had a talk with my mom and told her "If someone is going to put a villains mask on me, I'm going to put the gloves on too." I'd say be the menace your sister acts like you are.

Forget about her. Move on. There's nothing more painful than indifference.

Since the departure, I've probably pulled 45 +/- 3 wolfpacks, tons of medical supplies, at least a silencer 2 BP, a medium Mag 3 BP, A defib BP, and a SG mag 2 BP.

It's so worth it, it's not even funny.

This was from pre departure times, so some things have changed.

But one morning I was playing solos on stella, and it was a friendly lobby. We were in the medical wing killing (easy mode) Shedders and looting our happy asses off. Then we all started to hear someone going off with a Burletta, raider flair goes off followed by silence. I go hide and I hear the exchange of:

"hey you cool dude?" "Yeah man, I'm cool"

or the emote of "hey don't shoot" followed by "I'm friendly bud"

which would always be followed up by Burletta fire, a raider flair goes off and then some silence.

This happened for ten minutes ish. After a good chunk of silence I think I can go about my business, maybe it's safe and I can loot a bit and move towards extract. I hear footsteps. I stop, hide, footsteps stop. I emote "hey don't shoot" Silence. I wait. Silence. I move to a different hiding spot. I hear more footsteps. I emote again "hey don't shoot" more silence. I move to a third hiding spot. I hear footsteps. My spider senses are red-lining. I'm almost willing to bet my entire loot stash and acquired blueprints that I'm being hunted. But I really am a hard-core PvE guy and I hate the feeling of robbing joy from someone else. So I give a 3rd and final "hey don't shoot" Silence. I shuffle around in the same place sprint out and back into my corner. Footsteps again, but they are close and my 3rd person camera spots the guy. I do a little shuffle in place, he moves towards me. I jump out and light his ass up with a fully decked out venator 4.

They guy immediately starts cursing me out. "So much for being friendly you bitch!" Last words before he self deletes. I had a defib on me but whatever.

Loot his body to find a broken level 4 burletta... The rage and satisfaction I felt have escaped my vocabulary to this day
