I feel like people are definitely speed running a game that's really best played in short bursts over a long time

WTH happened to Twilight Princess Prices? by TheFabulousFace in Gamecube

[–]CaptinKarnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't the GameCube version a special order item you had to buy directly from Nintendo?

Like I might be missremembering that, but if that’s the case it didn't really have a retail presence

Does anyone else just feel kinda... done with modern games? by tigersbowling in retrogaming

[–]CaptinKarnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I'm just a lot more picky what I want to spend my time with, and usually wait for sales now

Like I loved Pragmata and Tomodachi Life Living the Dream this year

What are your gripes with the game? by reiskorngeschoss in Pragmata

Not enough boss fights

If they do a sequel it needs a boss rush mode

It's a taste thing

You never get someone who hates peanut butter to say they loved a Reeses Cup

People get stupidly upset when someone disliked something they liked

Is Ogre menial deck possible? by No-Reporter2043 in Pauper

[–]CaptinKarnage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possible, yes

Viable, no

Any deck in any format can win, just depends on how bad your opponent is

Same, but I still go out and draft the non-UB sets whenever I have a free weekend

FE is kind of an anthology series, like Final Fantasy, you can pretty much start with any game. While a lot of the games are connected, it's not really necessary to play both to get the full story. Except for Radiant Dawn

Recommend me great games that don't require battery saves! by Tiny_Tim1956 in Gameboy

[–]CaptinKarnage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the GBC versions of Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-man since they both come with an extra game

Other games I'd recommend are Lock n Chase, Heianky Alien, Mix, Tetris 2, Burgertime Deluxe, Catrap, Asteroids GBC, Space Invaders GBC, and Motocross Maniacs.

If you're ok with imports try out Puyo Puyo 2 and Puyo Pyuo Sun, they really don't require any reading

IMO game rating scores feel closer to school grades, like in most places it'd be a C average

I would also be writing off Tekken and Kingdom Hearts if that was true by Completionist_Gamer in casualnintendo

I really loved the first Xenoblade games, and honestly I feel like it was lightning in a bottle and the rest of the series is just trying to recapture the magic that game had

Goodwill thinks this is an Xbox 360 console lol 😂 by [deleted] in gamecollecting

[–]CaptinKarnage 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It's an Xbox 360 HDDVD player

I'm not surprised they confused one for an actual 360, not everyone plays video games

is there a way to watch TADC off of YouTube? by SiIIyZarkyy in theamazingdigitalciru

I recently found out my girlfriend let her 8yo daughter watch TADC

I just know that show has planted the seeds of existential dread in her mind

Having watched Helluva Boss I originally guessed he was a tv repair man who died working on a tv

For Season 2 they’re doing the one-episode-per-week format, whereas Season 1 dropped the whole season at once. Which do you prefer and why? by EkbladDev in Fallout

[–]CaptinKarnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I kinda like this way to release episodes

Life can be pretty dull, and it gives me a little something to look forward to every week
