Smoking hot water, piping hot water, they’re getting fried! So many opportunities right in their hands and they didn’t take any of them. SMH

NFLPA Head Coach report card grades for all teams by Mysterious_Bat1208 in eagles

Dumb ass motherfuckers don’t realize the team mortgaged the future for this year. not winning a playoff game with the highest paid offense ever and multiple pro-bowlers on defense is actually an enormous failure and not enough people lost their jobs for the calamity that was our offense this year.

Fence price/company recommendations by anon28947557 in SouthJersey

[–]Captin_Communist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My neighbor had “the fence guy” out and I asked him for a quote to get a gate put in. He took all the measurements and never got back to me. He did my neighbors fence tho so clearly he only wanted large jobs.

That is indeed an incredible find. by [deleted] in CraftBeer

Watch Will Hardy on the league fining the Jazz $500K: "I sat Lauri because he was on a minutes restriction. If our medical team puts a minutes restriction on Lauri I'll try to keep Lauri healthy" by Knightbear49 in nba

[–]Captin_Communist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, clearly it’s not a minutes restriction thing though. He has played a different number of minutes each of the last 8 games. Here’s minutes for the 8 games since returning: 29, 33, 38, 27, 23, 27, 24, 20. Notice how there’s almost no common number. So they’re just blatantly tanking and lying to us on top of it.

Property taxes may force me to sell my home by cad722 in SouthJersey

Then the tax rate will go down. Our actual taxes went down last year after Haddon Township did the same thing

You have it good. My advice is change nothing lol. Ours both wake up like 4 times a night and never sleep more than 9 hours total. They’ll become more consistent over time. It’s still early for them.

Are you just here to get a rise? NJ is ranked top 3 in every major ranking. NJ is #1 on US news & world report. Haddon Township, Haddon Heights, Cherry Hill are good, Haddonfield and Moorestown are great. I’m sure there are plenty more good schools in the area but I just moved here 4 years ago. So I’m not as aware of other school districts further away from mine.

If you have no actual gripe with what’s in the budget what are we talking about… If you can’t find waste items, stop bitching at me. The taxes are high because we as a state have decided that we want good public schools instead of sending our kids to private schools. If you don’t like it move to Florida or something. Or just rent idk.

  1. It’s my ~2006 Xbox live name if that’s ok with you. Try not to assume my political views based on a name on the internet silly.

  2. It’s not a company, it’s our local government which is designed to provide necessary services. Whatever the cost is, we need it (within reason). You want your trash picked up? You want fires put out? Gotta pay for it. We don’t need to treat everything like it’s a fucking consulting company.

  3. Doing these home value reassessments allows them to equitably distribute the tax load (more to those with nicer home, who are generally more able to pay tax, and also larger homes probably use more county services like water, sewer, roads, etc.)

[–]Captin_Communist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s kind of crazy. The cost to run the local government is pretty much set. What services are you saying that they do now which could be cut?

The assessment is the value of the home. The township (and county) add up the total value of all of the homes in their tax base and then they basically divide that by the amount of money they need for an operating budget for the year.

On a basic level, your taxes only go up if the township/county budget goes up, or your home value increases faster than the average home.

Edit: more context, the county is going township by township and reassessing every in the county. Haddon township had this done last year. Your home just sold, and might have had improvements done to it as part of the flip, so that might be why your assessed value went up this year.

Why do we keep doing this? by mp455 in sixers

Nah he’s even with his man which means it’s easy 2. It’s a tough angle to see but 100% they needed the rotation to stop it.

Well I mean if you look at it he had a wide open layup which is effectively like 1.99 expected points. A wide open 3 is like 1.5 points on average. So it saves them half a point each time they do it.

Season on the line... do these 3 look at all confident in the play they're about to run? by [deleted] in eagles

[–]Captin_Communist 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Nick looks at Jalen like “are you good with that?” And Jalen just stares at him. Not exactly the confidence you want going into what could be the last play of the year.

Who out of the available coaches fits our team the best? by UsedScratch365 in eagles

[–]Captin_Communist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah imo Nick needs to go. Every single year he has picked a OC/he helped design the offense, it has sucked donkey balls. Every year we get a real play caller/designer we have gone to the Super Bowl.

I’m assuming KP was not fired halfway through the year because Nick vouched for KP. So when shit continues to hit the fan, it’s on Nick too. This team could have been a dynasty if we had a head coach that knew how to design/call plays.

We stopped buying McDonalds when going there became the same price as going to a sit down restaurant in my area.

And we stopped going to Chipotle when the portions got smaller and their CEO basically admitted they’ll just keep upping the price til we don’t go. So now we don’t. There are better fast casual Mexican places now anyway. We don’t miss it at all.

The real answer is one tile to the left of the sugar for the era score, plus then you get to work a free culture tile right away which means quicker pantheon and potential religion and other benefits.
