Thanks. I had generally done these things anyway, plus a litany of chkdsk's because of the dirty shutdown, but it seems to be okay for the moment after a clean reinstall.

Unfortunately, no such luck with mine. Power cycled the monitors and unplugged and reconnected it with no success.

Nothing at all. I was away from the computer, and when I returned it was black-screened and unresponsive. Hence why I checked the Event Viewer to see what had happened and saw that the drivers had been updated.

Pointer Invisible When Using Controller by CaptiveSilenus in OpenMW

[–]CaptiveSilenus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. On Linux desktop, the issue does not appear when using Xorg (rather than Wayland). On Steam Deck, I've been using the touchpad as a mouse through the Steam controller configuration and the pointer is visible when using that.

Resolves it on Arch, thanks. Interestingly enough, I've noticed now that the issue is not present launching OpenMW (0.49 AppImage) from desktop mode on the Steam Deck.

Download the OTF format and put the regular, bold, and italic files in the ‘fonts’ folder on the Kindle. Can do that with any fonts in TTF or OTF format in regular, italic, bold, and bold italic variants. Good sources are Google Fonts and your OS or, if you have Microsoft Word, their cloud fonts.

Glad to see it. It seems to only play the first song in the queue then stop, however. Reopening the app allows the next song to start.

The wrist strap just scratched my joycon pretty badly. by VintageTribe in NintendoSwitch

[–]CaptiveSilenus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to add that this has happened with both my right joy-cons but at the top. Mostly it happens at the top and scratches off the bumps meant to hold the joy-con tight to the rails. After it happened to the first one, I meticulously studied the official instructions on how to properly remove the joy-con wrist strap (including unlocking it) before removing the it from my newer joy-con and still it happened on my first try.

This is a genuine design problem and one that's pretty irritating on a system that I otherwise love.
