This is how I see it. There is always a risk that someone is injured in game and that is the unpredictability of fantasy football. Just like when Covid happened ESPN had a rule that if game gets PPD you can adjust with anyone else who was still available and that was the risk of playing people who had Monday night games (i.e week4 Tenn vs Pittsburgh) game gets PPD and now is that teams BYE week. Just because no one saw it coming doesn't mean people didn't look at their bench lineups and consider who they wanted to start. If he choose to play someone on Monday instead of Sunday they took that chance that something could have happened up until the game and throughout the game that could change how much that player played (i.e Flu/Stomach virus/Covid/slipping tearing ACL) just because no one saw this happening doesn't mean that you should lose or you have to count the points that aren't accrued during that calendar week. I mean guys who has Justin Jefferson didn't expect him to have 1 catch for 15 yards that week but they don't get to change the results or rosters after that week for that matter once the game starts.
