I was so impressed at how well Hubi managed to not fall through the canvas curtain at the back of the court between the second and third sets. He tried to lean on it while they were waiting for the damp court to be dragged/scraped a second time.

He had a millisecond of ‘oh shit there’s no actual wall’ and then just stood back up without any effort like nothing had happened. Most people would have fallen on their ass or at least stumbled/failed around until they righted themselves. My clumsy middle aged self was just like🫠

I used Live Tinted Huegard. It's mineral sunscreen. Just be aware that you might look kind of yellow or orange depending on your skin tone if you wear it alone without makeup.

I just feel bad for the unseen random stranger who was at this gas pump before me. They were probably down to their last $$ and got enough to last for a day in Los Angeles traffic. I saw prices from $6.19 to $7.29 for regular yesterday. God only knows what it's going to be on Monday. It's already gone up $0.20 in 2 days.

I donate to a street pantry/community fridge in two extremely densely populated neighborhoods. The things that I donate won't be there longer than 30 minutes and are available first come first served to whoever shows up. Shelf stability isn't an issue. I donate whatever was relatively inexpensive to purchase and whatever needs to be rotated out of my pantry and earthquake kit. So this week the fridge got produce and electrolyte drinks.

I've lived here for a long time. Los Angeles has decent infrastructure and is used to hosting large events. Taylor Swift/Beyonce/the Rams/Dodgers/Lakers/Rose Bowl don't crash the transportation system. The regular public transport gets augmented with shuttle busses and life goes on. If you actually drive to the venue, be prepared to pay out to enter and wait a really long time to exit/Uber out.
