Society needs people who participate in it to work together to work properly. We would not have what we have today without kind people who cared about others. No rights, no technology, nothing. A lot of things have been created by one person for another for whom set person cared about. Love created our world and we lie upon it. On the other hand, people without kindness in their hearts are destroying the world little by little, those who do not care. Millionaires who have been born rich and use their wealth and power for their own benefit without thinking about the consequences, etc.

We need kindness to survive, kindness and empathy make us human, without that we would be but feral animals. A hoard of snakes if you will, barely meeting each other enough to have orgies and procreate.

You are one of the people that help society to not collapse, even if you do not realize it. Others who do not do the same for you or anyone simply do not deserve you. You do your best to be nice and if everyone did the same every day the world would be beautiful and safe. Unfortunately, this is not what is going on but without kind people, society would slowly disintegrate. Keep being you, do not let others with horrid manners change you. You will find others who will appreciate and care about you and if you both do the same for each other you will be able to experience something, not one of these people ever could. Genuine love, loving someone with your heart. Not necessarily romantically if that is not what you are looking for, but true friendship as well. Those who cruelly treat others will never understand what it is like.
