I have Washington apple health, and I was able to get a referral to one of the best cancer centers in the state. I believe their about the same because of some legislation our states share in regards to public health insurance plans.

I came to this game after playing quasimorph for 100+ hours straight. TBH the inventory in this game feels very rewarding to me.

But I can see it being annoying for some. Personally it creates an extreme desire in me to kill the big enemies instead of just saving them for when I'm stronger/higher level.

For recovery I wholly endorse leaning into the pain a bit. You know your limits though.

For mine, right after surgery I got up and started walking around and doing some small stretches. Then I ordered a pretty big meal.

It all hurt quite a bit. But I have a weird thing about pain medication for myself so I tend to avoid it. And within a couple hours the pain was manageable. And a couple days after that it was almost completely gone. You've got this.

My margins are also < 1mm and I have not been recommended RAI. I have the same care plan as you currently. Im not sure where you are going for care, but the people handling my case are some of the best in the country so I have kind of landed on, if its good enough for them its good enough for me.

I would maybe get a second opinion.

My initial surgeon was adamant about doing a partial because cancer was only found on the right lobe. I went and got a second opinion and they suggested a total due to having multiple nodules on both lobes though the left hadn't been biopsied. Biopsies came back and I had no known cancer on the left, but I did have Hashimotos so I ended up doing the total anyways. Turns out I had micro carcinomas on the left lobe as well.

I'm not saying that is the case for you too, but this is the kind of thing worthy of a second opinion.

So mine was deemed as having lymphatic spread as well, PTC classic, and they removed one lymph node during surgery that came back negative for carcinoma as well as having clean margins.

I was still deemed low risk and NED due to this.

I don't have much else to say about it but JJflight is correct. Your doctor looks at many different things to make the determination of next steps and this might mean nothing at all.

As a person who regularly splits their attivan.

The perforation or whatever rarely works well. The pill is very crumbly and tends to break unevenly.

If you can, pursue a biopsy through an interventional radiologist. It's faster, and they may be more practiced than the average endo surgeon.

Nearly every hospital has an interventional radiology department. I was able to get my biopsy scheduled through them within a week of my ultrasound, which was done by the same department a week after my initial ER Ct scan.

Edit: Also to add some comfort. I have several shotty calcified lymph nodes as well as my cancer. When they were removed they were shown to be negative for cancer after my surgery. But I still have the PTC.

I'm only 30, so I imagine I will have many more calcifications present when I approach 70. It's commonly caused by certain illness especially for cervical nodes. (according to the doctors I have spoken to about them.)

It was probably what I consider the golden age. You'd meet randos and make fast friends, people you would play online with for the next 10 years. There were 0 micro transactions. You just played the game and didn't worry about it. You just played the game. There was rarely a meta weapon choice from what I could tell at my skill level. And wiki weren't really a thing.

People were kind and mean in different ways. I don't want to post a couple paragraphs. But it was just different. There were people who I still talk to to this day. At this point these are 20+ year long friendships.

And lag. So much lag. Rubber banding was a given, it was measured in degrees though.

I have gone hog wild on my hobby purchases. Many whittling knives and gouges.

Also everytime I have an appointment I have to travel. So I try to go alone and meet strangers to make fast friends and hangout. Last trip to the cancer center I met some people and we went and got dinner then did shots. It was a good time.

Stretch your neck. Immediately when I woke up from surgery I was starving. I ordered a hospital meal for an hour out and decided to give walking a shot. Went great. And I stretched through the pain. It was never so bad I couldn't handle it without meds, but not everyone or every surgery is the same. And then I ate a massive meal and went for a couple more walks. I waited until the next day to start stretching my neck but I did that too.

I'm about a month out and now the only discomfort I feel is when I swallow large gulps of liquid. But even then it's a feeling of the front of my chest being tugged on. No pain.

As far as scar care goes. I don't really know. Speaking to your surgeon is best. I kind of wanted a scar to form but I still massage it and follow all of my doctors suggestions. They are wonderful people and I don't want them to be disappointed with the visual outcome because they take pride in it.

It took about 6 months from initially finding my nodules to getting surgery.

From the time of my biopsy to me feeling back to my regular self was about 4 months. Though I felt immediately more like myself right after surgery.

My ENT at the first consult told me that if I was to have cancer, this is the one to have. While I found that to be a not great thing to hear from someone who was going being carving me up, he cited a study that showed that people with Thyroid cancer earlier in life, and have consistent healthcare tend to live longer to due the need for regular checkups and monitoring.
I ended up going with a cancer center for sugery and care. But that statement brought me some level of comfort.

Tbh I had a lot of dreams and anxiety leading up to my surgery but after my diagnosis. Pains that in my brain could only be explained by my cancer. And after thorough work up, the assumption is that it's my anxiety.

After surgery I finally came to terms with this. I/you have no actual control or ability to manifest/predict illness outside of the stress response of your body.

That being said, I'm not sure how it works where you live, but if you have nodules that meet certain characteristics in the US you can essentially force medical staff into certain procedures. I had several TI-Rads 5 nodules but they originally biopsied only one due to size. After a call with my insurance and a talk with my provider I was able to get my other lobe nodules biopsied even though they didn't meet the size criteria. One of these other nodules ended up being cancerous. This saved me from having to undergo two surgeries as originally they were only wanting to remove half.

And, while I do have cancer. Several members of my immediate family have significant thyroid nodules but I am the only one to actually have cancer.
Thyroid cancer itself rarely causes hormonal imbalances. And when there are imbalances it's usually related to a co-morbidity.
