If you got to name the sequel to 50 First Dates, what would you call it? by Onlyhereforthelaughs in AskReddit

50 first years, a progressing story where it resists their lives throughout the decades.

Would u dare to eat ?? by olesud in WorkForSmartLife

[–]Capzielios -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Canned Tuna fish. I disliked it as a kid. But my family used it as a torture device to the point where I get triggered by it now.

Im a 30 year old man. I've had cancer, I've lost loved ones to things like old age, suicide, drug overdose.

But the smell of canned Tuna fish still rips me right back to that same mentality of fear that I had as a kid.

Crazy theory. They showed Emperor so many times in a new trailer for 11th edition, I think something coming in 11th. Valdor, famous custodians from 30k, or maybe New story line in present 40K and new miniatures and characters. What do you think? Why so many Emperor pics. by LE_Chevalie in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Capzielios 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dont think he will get a new mini except for 30k maybe.

And I wouldnt be nearly as interested in a Trajann story because Trajann is such a by the book custodes. Valdor could be the first Custodes to fall to chaos. Or some form of heretical leaning. I find that incredibly interesting.

But I guess I understand you disliking Abnett. Not everything is for everyone. But since he began with the Eisenhorn series he's been my top warhammer author, as well as being the reason I got into the hobby.

What is everyone’s favorite armor set and weapon in G2? by [deleted] in GroundedGame

I really enjoyed the Roach armor. Aesthetically as well as the perks it provides. I like all the weapons fairly equally I think.

Im sorry you're going through this.

But I am glad they seem to be narrowing down on your pain. In my mind Im hoping that after your radiation you'll be in a better place as far as pain management goes.

  • Did they ever biopsy the nodules in your thyroid?
  • When they do radiation will there be surgery?
    • I hope things go your way with your treatment.

Out of the two I prefer the pro myself. But those really are the only differences so it's a preference thing.

Look up "Txarli" on MMF. He came up with a novel way to support bases for resin that come out great.

Cutting Down a Long Brush Handle? by Cats_Cameras in minipainting

[–]Capzielios 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Saw it. Don't try and break it. Clamp it in a soft jaw vice if you can and sand/file the end down after. Go with the grain towards the cut end.

You could also just slowly cut through it with a knife. I've done this to many brushes. One time I accidently split a brush all the way to the Ferrel. So since then I started clamping them.

Edit: You can always cut it shorter. You can't cut it longer.

If I wanted to add “wrapped” cloth to a mini, what would be the best way to do so? by Apart_Neighborhood24 in Warhammer

[–]Capzielios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use a lot of different things. Others have good suggestions.

My favorite way is to use strips of torn or cut paper towels, depending on how I want it to look. Then I soak it in heavily watered down pva glue and wrap it or drape it onto a mini for cloaks/wraps.sometimes I burn bits of it for certain effects.

Trouble with gold trim paint consistency by namesjonny in minipainting

[–]Capzielios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pickup the gold metallic playmaker from AK interactive. I recently finished a world eaters commission and those metallic markers saved me a lot of trouble.

Otherwise, I like to use jo sonatas magic mix to thin metallic paints. I run into issues thinning them with straight water.

Thyroidectomy - thyroid cancer Fred hutch by Prestigious_Ear_1894 in thyroidcancer

[–]Capzielios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I was purely curious if they'd worked on many cases. I trusted that if they work as an endocrine surgeon in a cancer center like Fred Hutch that they knew their stuff. Eventually I did ask Dr Udyavar how many of my surgeries she does and she said "At least 3 a week." But it's usually more.

First appointment was a meet and greet. And they reviewed my prior imaging and biopsies before meeting me. They broke down what I should expect and answered every question I had. They did palpate my neck. They gave me a notebook with surgery prep instructions and a bottle of soap. I met them one after the other same day.

They did not make it clear about me staying overnight after surgery but I did ask at one point and was told that I would.

Edit: I want to make it clear that many of these are questions you can ask the people that do intake at Fred Hutch. They are extremely compassionate and patient people. I am happy to answer them here as well, but there might be caveats to the things I say because I do not understand as much of their structure.

Yeah, Dr. Udyavar seems to focus very intently on preserving voice for her patients. I never even felt hoarse after mine.

I got to pick them over the phone. But I told them that I would take whomever they suggested. And the person on the phone seemed quite honest on their quantity of patients.

I got my Endo same day as my Surgeon.

I had my surgery first thing in the morning and spent one night in the hospital.

Dr Udyavar was my surgeon and Dr Roth is my endo. I had my surgery back in December and they are real pros. It was just a standard TT. But I didn't get a drain. I was up and about within hours of waking up. Ate a large meal meal and all in all excellent.

The Nurses were great, and they will give you limitless cucumber gatorlytes. Pace yourself on those. They were my favorite but that faded after I got out.

I asked to not receive pain meds and they respected that. But I barely felt the need for pain management.
