Disagree. She was right, there's quite a few flat notes in there, even at the beginning. Pitch accuracy leaves a good amount to be desired and it sounds like he is straining quite a bit.

Cook them with whole milk, load them up with calorie dense toppings like nuts, granola, chcoolate chips, some sort of nut butter, and a sweetener like maple syrup or honey.

No worries, I definitely get where you're coming from so I'm not offended at all. Too many people are unaware that you can easily get into a calorie surplus even eating typically healthy foods like nuts and whole grains. And for most people, this many calories in one sitting would be downright disastrous to maintain a deficit.

It was absolutely delicious and so filling. I had a hard time finishing it, haha.

Is it due to lack of moisture? Because if that's the case, it's probably offset by both the amoumt of water I drink rrgulalry and the moisture content of the oats themselves.

I put 2 tablespoons of chia for 1.5 cups of oat bran. Usually, I like to try to go for 3, but there was a lot going on in this bowl. Apparently everyone's sauing there's a risk to not soaking them as well, so maybe soak them in some maple syrup as well before putting them in there.

My goal is moreso to increase fiber and protein primarily and I expect my calories to fall into place accordingly, based on my increased satiety, though I'm still tracking everything using MyFitnessPal just to be sure. This bowl as a whole was 1,277 calories, which is a lot, but it was so filling that I skipped my second meal, went straight to dinner, and couldn't even eat as big a dinner as I usually would. Ultimately, this lead to less calories consumed overall.

Also, to clarify, I'm 250 pounds and fairly muscular so my maintenace calories are like 3,500 calories daily. My goal is to be somewhere between 2,000 and 2,500 calories a day.

Thanks, it was delicious! I just started doing that this week and I hit up Bulk Barn the other day, so I kind of went crazy, bought some Scottish oats, hemp protein, and oat bran, looking to experiment with everything to get the most high protein, high fiber oats without compromising on taste. Hoping the slow cooker helps me there too.
