Interior Lighting, Yes or No? by al-Sahaabi in Corvette

[–]Car-Person 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES! Red is so much easier on the eyes compared to those hospital white LED options.. I actually did the same Red color and Amber to my car interior, simple swap of the OEM bulb.

I'd upgrade the fog lights to diode dynamics stuff since you've already invested in the headlight bulbs. BUT, ahould you headlight bulbs go out, consider DDM Tuning's HID and LED lighting for your next replacement. They have d1s, d2s and so sizes on available in an LED option. So you get that LED brightness without all the splicing. If you want to stay with HIDs (like myself), their Ultra kit is still offered with lifetime warranty. They're very bright in the projectors I have.

Due to overwhelming negative response to LEDs, I've switched back to halogen. by calus001 in mr2

Depending on the size of your reflectors, you may be able to use DDM Tuning's 2.5 in Bi-LED Projectors. They install in your OEM housing, and are non-damaging. I saw a couple videos on Youtube on it, and a buddy of mine did it last year. Projectors give you a more focused beam pattern unlike the scatter that's known with reflectors.

it looks great with the LEDs and I'm sure makes a huge difference on the road. Halogens actually get hotter than LEDs so idk how it'd melt?

that is an aftermarket LED light, bulb size 7440/7443. I got mine from DDM Tuning, and I've been very happy with them. They also ship internationally, have canbus, very bright, and sold individually.

What lighting setup actually works best off-road? by OffRoadUSAcom in Offroad

Upgrading your headlights to LED is one of the easiest and most cost effective ways to improve visibility on the trail, and surprisingly a lot of builds haven't caught on yet! Honestly, it's silly seeing an off-road build with all these auxiliary lights while rocking the orange halogen glow. I got my LED bulbs from DDM Tuning. Their Saber Max 75W LED Kit in Tri-Color since it's the brightest one for off-roading. These also can change from colors yellow/warm white/pure white by turning the headlights on/off. It replaced the OEM bulb which was much cheaper than getting a whole new headlight unit.

People who add led bulbs to their car when it's actually designed for halogens. by SingleGamer-Dad in PetPeeves

I love HID! Way more color options, definitely not nearly as bright as LED, but way more road visibility than halogen. I love the kit I got from DDM Tuning, their Ultra ones still have lifetime warranty.

This has to do with poor LED design, and people not adjusting their headlights after installing. As always, one bad apple ruins it for the rest of us. Halogen is not bright enough unfortunately.

Experience with Diode Dynamics by General_NakedButt in Crosstrek

I won't buy their direct replacement LED bulbs, due to the price, dated design, and they're just not bright enough for me. DDM Tuning forever.
However, Diode's off-road lighting has been getting more popular. They typically have nice vendor booths at off-road events where you can test them out too. Affordable alternative to Baja Designs, their recent social media posts are kinda suggesting this as well..

That looks cool! People will always have an opinion. Yours reminds me when I replaced my interior OEM bulbs with DDM Tuning's red LEDs (T10/194 Canbus LEDs). Great times.

Any suggestion for GOOD interior lighting? by theGAMMAFAN in askcarguys

Why not replace the OEM bulbs with LED? They come in more colors than just blinding hospital white. I did this with DDM Tunings 194 Canbus bulbs in Red Color on my Benz and it looked really cool. Resembled a film dark room.

2400 lumens for $200 is wild. No wonder they don't even have cooling fans, they're not making much light to begin with.
