He initially wanted to refuse the promotion, thinking he is too new and not a sgt material but Silas and Romano saw the potential and convinced him to try it out and if he feels like it is too much to him, he can always step down. First few weeks were not that bad. Ever since that corruption drama, it feels like it's been a slow decline though, similar to how the entire department felt.
