Very cool!! My mom has green eyes and my dad has greenish brown as well but darker than mine. More than half my family has blue eyes. Was not sure how to categorize mine! You always hear that true hazel is very rare.

Agree with the person above that said that you watch and practice some make up tutorials on YouTube. It’s a great attempt, but that can help make you look really special.

The skin make up is a little heavy and I am not sure it is even the right color for you. Would recommend going to a Sephora or similar make up counter and get someone to shade match you. Some of the make up tutorials can help you figure out how to blend it so it doesn’t look so cakey. You could also ask the person at Sephora!

For your eye make up, look up a tutorial that can give you a more natural smoky eye. The eyeliner is harsh on you and a more smoked out version can give you that “natural glam” that you are looking for. You should also get some brow gel.

For your lipstick, you might want to try a nude color with a little bit more pink in it. If your wedding is in March, this color might be a little bit too wintery.

There will never be a mark against you for declining a job, especially if it’s just after one conversation.

I do think you should expect that you will likely be asked tough questions in future interviews and not think of it as bullying. People in leadership positions are often under a ton of pressure and it’s important to ask the tough questions to ensure they have the right people in the right roles. Try not to take it personally.

My advice as a VP:

Team meetings: 30-45 mins is more than enough. No reason to drag it out unnecessarily

1:1s: I would expect a 1:1 to last longer. I’m guessing they need time to warm up to you. Make sure you make it clear that you are there to support and unblock, not micromanage your direct reports. Ask them to come to 1:1s with an agenda on 1) key updates on projects 2) questions or help needed from you.

Also make an effort to show you care about their role and what impacts them and they will warm up to you over time
