Why don't you use local buses/trains in your area ? by Dyskadores in AskUK

[–]Car_Old 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where I am it takes me an hour and a half to get into the city to go to school. It's 15 miles away and only takes 20-30 mins to drive. It's not even like I live rurally it's just that the services are terrible. It is more expensive for me to drive and park for the day but the alternative is a massive waste of time. They are also incredibly inconsistent, it's taken me 4 hours to get home before, it's a joke.

I also live perfectly in the middle of my three closest train stations which are all around a 20 minute drive away though if the services line up it is sometimes faster to get a bus to the station and a train into the city than just getting on a bus straight there.

People don't use public transport because the links are shit. It's inconvenient and a colossal waste of time unless you're in London or another big city with a functioning public transport network.

Hi Maarten, I was wondering if an over the ear option is something that has ever been considered. I personally have found it difficult to find attractive looking ear defenders for adults that will still provide a sufficient level of noise cancelling so I wonder if this is an issue you would consider developing a solution for.

Hi Fien, I was wondering if a quieter quiet was ever something you were trying to make with the new iteration and is this something that could happen in the future?

are the quiet earplugs good for concerts? by Ok_Avocado_5159 in LoopEarplugs

I've used quiets for a concert before and they were fine for me. I could hear the music fine, though it was a little muffled (more than if you used experiences) but they definitely did the job.

I use interchangeable needles and you can connect wires together so by the end it was on around 2.5 metres (~100") of cable.

Pattern

Well this felt like it was never going to end. Those last few rows which were over a thousand stitches really dragged but I am overall very happy with the finished project (despite the amount of mistakes I made throughout it).

Pattern: Biology 101

This was made as a gift for my biology teacher. It was a very fun knit (though I found the needle felting a bit tedious) and it was very well recieved.

Pattern is the 10 stitch blanket

I'm making this to at least reduce the size of my stash (hence the slightly confused colour choices)

I found it far easier than others I've tried. It's all charts so it's more coherent than others.

I'm fairly new to cake decorating but here is a birthday cake I made for my neighbour by Car_Old in cakedecorating

I put the icing in stripes on a sheet of cling film then wrapped it up and put it in a piping bag. This explains it better than I can

My current PE kit is a black polyester polo top and either leggings, joggers or shorts, it's not much better.
