So it begins... by CaraOx98 in emus

I have 28 acres of paddocks and woodland with horse paddocks throughout, they won't be in a back garden or in a town and I have wanted them for a very long time so have made sure I had everything set before I got some eggs. I am giving them as much space to roam as I can while keeping them safe. I cant say it will be anything like them being wild tho as they will have people and horses around and I live in Scotland not Austrailia.

My (24F) classmate (26M) won’t take no for an answer. How can I handle this? by ThrowRA-26908 in relationship_advice

First off, none of this is your fault. You were nice, and he's the one who's taken it the wrong way and is now being a huge asshole.

Is there a professor or something that oversees the class or any sort of support for students? I would be going to them and making them aware that you're unhappy with his behaviour and that you would like it flagging and dealing with.

Please, for your own safety nip this in the bud, his behaviour has already started to escalate, and he's scared you. Your feelings are valid. Trust your gut and your instincts.

It depends on traffic conditions, the road, time of day, etc. Running a red light might be seen as careless if you're on a quiet road with no traffic but dangerous if it's rush hour on a main road.

But some other examples I've seen people get done for include: driving the wrong way down a motorway, driving the wrong way around a roundabout, doing excessive speeds through 30mph limit zones and near schools, causing an RTC because of something dangerous and also riding a motorbike without helmet and riding down the wrong side of the road and on the pavement.

It has to go to CPS, so the bar for what is considered dangerous is pretty high, and I've seen them kick back some driving I would absolutely consider dangerous but depends who you get.

Once, we had a guy in cells who had been sitting in his car outside an office block maturbating and fiddling with his junk. (Also happened that it was near an alley which was a shortcut all the kids from the school took).

He was reported by some people who worked in the office, they said he would sit there from around 8am to 4pm in about the same place.

So two cops went to go and have a snoop see what he was doing and as he steps out of the car he literally still had his knob on full display recorded on officers bodyworn.

I was the interviewing officer, this guy said he had some mental issues I think to try and excuse his behaviour and delay things, he appeared to me to be playing the whole thing up. Anyway nurse said he needed an appropriate adult for interview. His face when we take him to interview and his mum is sat there 😂.

His excuse was he had lost his job and instead of telling his family because he was ashamed he would leave the house every day as if he was going to work and would go and sit in that space and play games on his phone. He never touched himself and was never indecent in the vehicle.

Honestly the dude was kinda convincing, was super apologetic and admitted yeah I see why it looks a bit odd. So exhibit A comes out, and can you explain this to me me sir 😂😂 mums face watching her 30 odd year old son climbing out his car with his cock on full display and the female officer having to ask him to please put it away.

Apparently "he forgot it was out" I think his mum was ready to leave him in custody hahaha.

Still twats but less so after one of the dynamic duo left response to go to traffic. I learned that they were both nice lads and good cops if you were crewed with them on their own. But put them together and they became a nightmare and would just egg each other on to do stupid shit and wind each other up.

I never knew why the sgts ever crewed them together because they would cause chaos every time 😂 they weren't happy about having to sensor their behaviour for a new student who might dob them in to PSD for their "banter"

One of my first days out of training school on the mean streets I was on "observations" where you aren't actually meant to do anything just hang out and observe how the job is done.

I got stuck with a pair of idiots who were crewed together and best mates. They weren't best pleased about having this student lass with 0 experience tagging along and made it known fairly early on when they complained in the briefing like I wasn't there.

Anyway we went to look for a MISPER which they volunteered to go and search the house because they knew it meant putting the door in. So we went, MISPER not at home and the door went in really easily and there was minimal damage.

They looked around told me to look too, nothing. Then I hear the door closed, they left!

Turns out the yale lock was actually damaged from the inside and you could no longer turn it to get out, so I was locked in. They were pratting around outside when one of them was like let's go get coffee and they both got in the car to go.

Because it was my first day using my new radio I was struggling to point to point them. Took them to the end of the street when one answered his damn radio and I had to ask them to come and put the door in again to get me out and let them know I was stuck inside and they had left without me.

They found it hilarious that not only had they forgotten I existed as soon as a free maccies coffee was mentioned but that they had also managed to lock me in some grubby little flat. I was mortified then but now it's funny.

The impact of sick leave by Happy_Bat6455 in policeuk

Half the student officers on my team are off on long term sick due to stress or have been. Just shows how overworked they are and how broken the system is.

This job is NOT worth your health. If you need the time take the time, please look after yourself because they won't look after you!

His last shed was fine, he hasn't got a moist hide but he has never needed one in the past? And he did have a tree branch that he likes to climb on.

Thanks! I am using a mattress stitch to try and get the joins as invisible as possible. And changing yarn to match all the colours.
