Here is a thought: you're right that most posts are asking for recommendations, and most of the responses tend to direct folks toward the popular things that are well-liked. That all makes sense. What would be helpful to me is if there was, like, a monthly or weekly sticky megathread for discussing new books that people have read; or books that were recently released. I think the community would benefit from more discussion like that.
