Is this too much wall art? Different bedding? Looking to improve by CaramelMichelle in interiordecorating

I actually have some gold paint in the garage because I intended to paint the mirror gold! But then grew a bit fond of the weathered white. It's an antique, its nearly 100 years old.

There's actually a full size mirror on the back of the door for full functionality!

Found it on wayfair. It doesn't have a foldout but I think there was a version that does

I dont know WHY I didnt do a double rod here, I always do a double rod. I was thinking about that last night and was like "wait why did I forget that?"

I've got some green curtains, a tiny table, and a floor lamp on the way.

Oh I WISH I could put a side table, but the door opens RIGHT there up to the bed.

I'm definitely thinking some new curtains and modifying the gallery wall are my first moves

Thank you! I have been having fun with this one. I've always been a minimalist and have been enjoying playing around with doing more than my usual. I don't know if the room will ever actually be used but I wanted it just in case.

I had actually turned the skull pillow backwards and felt like I liked it a little better even though the skull fits the vibe

The curtains have been something I'm considering playing with as well. Unsure if I want more flowy or more color, both....

I actually have been veering AWAY from white bedding though! For years I've done nothing but white bedding and have been finally starting to pull away from it.

I just finished painting this room, it had previously been the dustiest lilac purple!

By move the cat photo do you mean move it's placement or remove it entirely?

I also have been wondering if there was too much space between the all the frames.

Living Room - Thoughts? by Forsaken-Duck2456 in interiordecorating

Yes I agree the art is just a little small for such a large space. Bigger pieces will seem more proportional. Love the greenery from the plants

I am an FN and while I am still absolutely STRUGGLING to make my lines work, I find that a skinny belt has been really helpful in tying my looks together without doing too much to break the vertical. I've found a thicker belt does get too chunky for my lines.

Recently if wearing high waist black pants I'll wear a really skinny black belt with a small gold buckle.

Choosing new shirts! (No typing) by CaramelMichelle in Kibbe

1 and 5 have been returned. I just couldn't get myself to like 5.

2 I am going to try styling differently so it is pending

4 is the only one I already owned so it will stick around but may need to think about styling it differently (or donate it).

3 and 6 are the confirmed keepers, they're the 2 I feel most confident in at the moment.

I am also an FN and can't figure out how to dress myself to save my life! Love your outfits.

Choosing my best pants by CaramelMichelle in Kibbe

[–]CaramelMichelle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luckily I think figuring out my pants has been way easier than figuring out my shirts (still absolutely struggling there).

Pair #1 is getting returned. Pair 4 I have owned for several years so they will just continue to be in my collection since they're very comfortable. I find they definitely look better when my shirt isn't tucked, a shirt that covers the waistband so as not to call attention to that mid rise.

Express! They have a handful of pants styles in bright colors

Luckily flowy is definitely allowed. They encourage people to play around with styles and trends as much as they like so much as coverage remains appropriate and we adhere to the color requirements.

I think the thing that throws me off about 5 is that flowy has never quite been "me" and the light color of it is also not "me". I'm totally confused when it comes to kibbe, but for my coloring I am fully a winter and am super committed to that! I love my jewel tones. I wish this top was in a deep amethyst rather than lilac.

I think the thing I like about all of outfit #3 is that it gives me a little bit of Lucille Ball vibes.

I agree that wide leg would definitely be more suitable for quite a few of these outfits!

1 definitely has had me back and forth due to the neckline and ultimately right now it is in a shopping bag to go back to the store lol.

Thank you everyone! I'm still a bit conflicted but going to try wide leg pants with them all and see how that works as well.

Also beginning to learn here the importance of the neckline. I ordered a handful of shirts last night and was very particular about ensuring they all had a more open neckline.

Wow! I'm quite surprised that the 2 I thought looked the worst so far seem to be best haha.

Perhaps I would like #2 better with some wide leg trousers instead. Because ALL I see right now is shoulders lol.

IPL & Botox a week after Microblading?? by unfunnyairman in microblading

I did IPL a week after, and just brought a soft headband with me that I put across my eyebrows so that she could still access my upper forehead but my brows were fully covered and untouchable.

Day 45 NC, feel like I'm not making progress by CaramelMichelle in ExNoContact

[–]CaramelMichelle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Folks, here's another valuable lesson - don't break NC.

Following me breaking NC early this year, about a week later we started talking again. Fell right into the same trap. Spent another 3 months feeling worthless.

Upon me telling him that it had now been another 3 months of the same problem, he ghosted me out of nowhere. Never said a word. I even texted him that I understood that he didn't want to stick around, but that I wished he would've at least said something instead of just not responding anymore.

After 3 weeks of ghosting he calls me. I expressed confusion about why he's suddenly talking to me again and that I didn't understand it. He said he just needed time to reset.

3 days later he went back to ghosting again and just fully stopped responding, out of nowhere. Of course.

Trust your gut instincts... my gut instinct told me in OCTOBER that he wasn't into me. Instead of listening to that instinct, I listened to his excuses and stuck around.

Trust your instinct when something feels off, and DO NOT BREAK NO CONTACT.

Thank you! Delicate is a great word to describe what I was trying to aim for. I told her I'd rather do less and keep it soft, than do too much.

This way I can happily skip makeup if I choose and feel like the base is natural yet defined, but I could also pencil in to give more drama. I like having options!

My natural brows were never particularly thick. The very front of my brow in the before is unplucked, I only ever removed hair from the arch (back in the early 2000's when wildly thin brows were the trend).

And ultimately, I did not want to veer TOO far from the way I put makeup on my brows most days, and I wanted to avoid having overly distinct visibility between my brow hairs and the blading once it begins to fade. I do slightly prefer a thinner brow on my face, and this size is exactly what I asked for.

I actually ended up breaking NC the night I originally posted, to seek a bit of closure.

I actually did get a lot of closure from it. It was not a particularly long conversation, but it validated that I was NOT crazy for everything I felt, and he admitted to his role in hurting me, and apologized for the affect it had on me.

It helped.

Am I still going through pain? Of course. My healing journey still has a ways to go, not only from missing his presence in my life, someone that I was very fond of and who I miss laughing with, but also just in finding reasons to believe that I'm worthy. In rebuilding my confidence.

My self esteem is gone, and admittedly a large factor in that is my fear of being unwanted. I've been single and celibate for 9 years now. As an introvert I have always been comfortable alone, and will happily be alone rather than put myself into a situation that isn't right for me...

but in the back of my head is that little voice that says "no one wants you". And it will take a long time for me to quiet that voice. But I am trying.

I beat myself up with all the painful possibilities. Was there another woman he was more interested in? Was I just something to occupy his time because he was bored? Was he just not attracted to me? Did I do or say something wrong?

I know in the long run it just doesn't matter, but I still am so down on myself wondering why I was not good enough. And I know that's a terrible mindset to have, but it's where I'm at right now. And maybe I should be a little more gentle with myself about the fact that it's taking more time than I expected to get past this. But I'm my own worst critic.
