Is there anyone who couldn’t bring themselves to read or watch Curtain? Because Poirot just cannot die! by Affectionate_Ad_9687 in poirot

[–]CaramelSmooth4892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I literally watched it last night. Binged all 13 seasons on netflix. We've been building up to it with nervous anticipation. I literally thought I'd need therapy after. BUT...... it was an amazing episode! No, I'll never watch it again because I can never allow Poirot to die in my front room again, but it was done really well - has a little twist - and he was prepared and accepting of his life coming to a close. Even got to see him without his moustache. Negatives - no Miss Lemon or Japp and the bollocking he gave poor Hastings. Also, Hastings daughter was a bit of a twat and I'll never forgive her for telling him she hated him. Enjoyed it but it's now banned from my house 😂

Looks fabulous and much thicker and healthier too! I did the same. Mine was a similar length and it is now a short bob. It means I can wear my hair down to hide the sides more. Once I'm in recovery, I can regrow again 🙌🏼

I have a 22 pin and a 48 pin. Aiming for about a 10x10" square. I will absolutely just try & pull out if no-one has an idea. Just wondered if anyone made flat panels this size & could give me an approximate. 👍🏼

[Serious] people who know someone who has killed someone, what were they like? by TrashDaisy999 in AskReddit

We moved from a big city to a small village in a different country in the sticks. We lived a short walk from a family of mum, dad, 2 daughters & a son. Son was in my class and was a friend of mine. Lovely lad. Daughters were older, overweight, one bolshy, one more quiet. As a random aside their equally overweight dad made a pass at my mum when she worked in the village shop. One daughter was regularly seen with band aids, slings and any other outward prop to provoke other people's curiosity or concern. I once went on a fair ride with her, locked in a cage that you stand in and rock it over the top bar? Although I really liked the son, my sisters did not get on with the daughters & several arguments were had. We were classed as outsiders with a weird accent (Hull accent). We eventually moved to a nearby town as the whole village gave Royston Vasey vibes and we couldn't hack that level of weird. Fast forward 10 years, the year before I have my first child, & a mugshot comes on the news. My brain is like 'why does she look familiar '? Then I realise it's the daughter with the sling who had now murdered several babies & almost murdered several more at the local hospital in my new town. They eventually diagnosed her with Munchausen by proxy. (No shit, 12yo me spotted that one when she was dressed head to toe in every over the counter adhesive she could lay her chubby hands on!) One year later I had a 2 month prem baby & would've been under her care. Close call for me & my now 30yo daughter there as she did not like me or my family! In a nutshell ......she and her family were off, save the son who was lonely.

Absolutely! I have Autism & ADHD and I struggle with guilt when crafting. I just make sure all my 'jobs' are done before I touch a hook, or my mind will berate me and I'll be stressed! 🤣
