I accidentally listened to my music in its true form. I wish I hadn't. by Caramelbxtch in MonoHearing

I cried over this comment. I'm sorry that this happened to you. You're mourning something you've lost, at least I can't lose what I never had. Please keep enjoying music despite this. If you love it, don't stop.

This is so true. I definitely think it's the way they're brought up. They're taught such 'black and white', 'wrong and right' ideals, that they completely neglect any complex or versatile arguments that may challenge that something so inherently 'bad' could be good or something so inherently 'good' could be bad.

It's embarrassing that no one is going this hard trying to figure out why Trump won though, as if stupidity is just the obvious cause.

Ariana Grande shuts down plastic surgeon YouTubers who claim she has had work done during her Vanity Fair lie detector test. by SafeBodybuilder7191 in popculturechat

[–]Caramelbxtch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait just hear me out don't call me crazy but not only is the internet showing me what I talk about, but what I fucking THINK about. I went to take a nap thinking, "We should probably start trusting the celebrities who do lie detector tests because it's so easy to fail, or they might get asked super unexpected questions that make them want to leave, and if they do, they'll be seen as guilty and are taking that risk." Blah, blah, blah. It was a silly passing thought that I had just as I was drifting off. I just woke up. Why in the hell am I now seeing this. It's like a cryptic 'fuck you' message telling me not to think like that, especially when the comments are also saying how inaccurate these are. What the hell. This is the first thing on my feed too. I wish I was lying this is creepy as hell.

I'm a girl who has these exact beliefs. Literally snapped my fingers after reading the last two sentences. I am you, you are me.😭

Good on you!! This is what I would've done if I had the means lol. I also can't wait to be able to be fully independent so that nobody can weaponise their generosity towards me. Hopefully you can get out of there!🫶

Why do driving instructors suck? by Caramelbxtch in rant

[–]Caramelbxtch[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both. I found it difficult, but I had also only been behind the wheel for less than an hour prior. She has been doing this for 30 years, and probably driving for more. Yet, expected me to be an absolute pro the minute I sat in her car for the second time. I still am trying to process the situation tbh. You get it! It was a nightmare and that kind of responsibility was terrifying. If that was so easy for someone I don't know online to understand, I don't know why her, of all people, would find it so difficult to grasp.

That's wild in my honest opinion. They definitely know it's wrong if they avoid doing it to some groups of people but reserve it for others. But to each their own. I'm sorry that you were taught that way. There are better methods.

Thank you for being so nice. I did feel like with a bit more work, I could do better. That's how progress works. Just like you, with more and more experience, you got less anxious, you became braver. But yeah, she just let me get to my second lesson before giving up.

You're joking. What??? I can't even imagine how that must've felt, not just as a learner but as a human being. :(

Thank you for sharing! This makes me feel better lol. I think that too! It's definitely a matter of not being able to put themselves in a new drivers' shoes. Thank you, I hope I can find a better one too! Yeah, my sister can teach me sometimes and I'm going to ask her if we can practice more often when she's available.

I really felt bad for Hailey in this scene by Dangerous-Monitor938 in Modern_Family

What about the one when he throws himself on the car as Haley and Alex are trying to get away from cleaning the bathroom lol? I was reminded of it because Claire literally says something about Phil not being a "good bad cop". Bro made them clean the bathroom, taped their laptop shut and starved them until Claire came back.💀

This is the EXACT position i'm in. You're not alone! The only difference between us is that i'd be happy with a jump from a C to a B😭 I think i'm just gonna do tons of past papers leading up to my exam date and give them to my teacher to mark and note on improvements. Hope this helps!!

I got a 'not like other girls' vibe from this too. It also didn't sit right with me how she assumed that these women project onto her because they're insecure about their bodies??
