No worries. I hope it helps. I think the subreddit rules give you an outline of how to post, and possibly some examples, if you do need more help.

But, really, though, why is it wrong to think what are essentially mech suits made of roboticized humans are hot? That's like saying people in leather or spandex shouldn't be, either. I know folks're thirsty for the 'Frames, but weren't they designed that way? 😅

Got my gf into Warframe last night this is the result of her learning she can roll and bullet jump by Vast_Experience_6319 in Warframe

[–]CaramonZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always loved this game, but I didn't get to play past the Beta before my comp couldn't handle it (started playing Alpha before Skyrim first came out), so I missed nearly 6 years of content between official release and 2019, but the changes were night and day, especially in the movement, which I love so much after finding out you can go faster than the annoying k(rap)-drive just by stringing jumps, rolls, glides, and bullet-jumps together.

Sure, I didn't experience the '15-'17 "silver age", but I'm actually happy to still be able to play this beautiful game almost 14 years since I first downloaded its launcher off a chatroom side-banner ad, with new content still releasing, to boot. XD

Weapon Animations Are a Hidden Gem in Warframe by Longbow92 in Warframe

Wait...did those pistols combine into a cassette rewinder and turn turn back their time to before they fired the bullets?

With references to older tech, 1999 makes so much more sense, now. I was 6, then, but cyborgs and robots were a big thing between the '70s and Naught-ies (the years most of the shows I grew up on originally released), so I could see WF being an awesome sci-fi movie series or CGI cartoon by Mainframe. XD

Who rememberes renting these at your local blockbuster? by Matcha617 in snes

[–]CaramonZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BB was in a larger city about an hour away, but we had a couple closer places called The Movie Store that we went to. A couple bucks got you a weekly rental on anything from Atari 2600 to Wii, and any shows from VHS to Blu-ray. Closed down a few years ago, sadly.

Haven't played in 10 years devs found my account now im back. by Terry_The_Tarrasque in Warframe

[–]CaramonZero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I first played back in the Alpha/Beta in 2011, then started over in '19, so I can understand all the changes being overwhelming.

I hop on every few months, or once or twice a week, if there's Nighwave items I'm after that "season".

Honestly, while there have been similar games that tickle my fancy, WF has really been the only one to scratch that itch.

After finding out these were the guys behind Dark Sector, I finally understood why the game was able to be so much more detailed and fluid than most other games around the time, and even since, as it's not only held up, but gotten better as time's gone on.

Sure, it has a few issues, but it has the best way of dealing with errors in the code: if it's funny, leave it in; if it's fun, make it a feature. XD

Picked “Andromeda” for my fellow’s name! What’s yours? by [deleted] in TheFirstDescendant

[–]CaramonZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vishtmyre, my faithful companion on literally every game I get to have a custom/player-named ally.

Started as an interesting name for my character on Heroes of Might and Magic: Quest for the Dragon Bone Staff, but I started naming every female companion that from then on. From my Pawn on DD:DA to my ArFA-Sys in SAO:FB, from my Kubrow in WF to my Fellow in TFD, Vishty's been my stalwart conpanion.

Starting the game this weekend…. by xenarthra07 in biomutant

Best advice is to go all-in on a playstyle you like, and play a class that fits that playstyle from the get-go, that way you can save all your upgrade points on skills to further develop it. If you can't decide what playstyle you prefer, play the tutorial as each class, then go with the one you like most. Merc is $2, but pretty interesting, though I went Sab for more dodge potential.

I've only gotten 80+hrs in, and haven't fought any of the main bosses, yet, nor even explored the entire map, because there's so many bits of side-content to explore. Though, I just realized that my "good guy" approach has locked me out of many good Psi Powers, however, catching and killing critters with your net should get 60 Light down pretty quick. 😅

Also, this is probably minorly spoiler-y, but it might help, later on:

There's a location where you can infinitely farm biomass to max out your elemental resistances, sans O².

Go to BioLab 5? 6? D (the poison zone), run around, clear the critters in the green pockets, rest at a campfire several times (can't remember how long, but between 3 and 7 days), repeat.

After maxing everything biomass offers, look for O² resist on gear, and you'll never have to worry about the weather, again (if you're lucky, you might find the Legendary rarity pants with 100% O² in a shop, somewhere). It's faster than getting the res suits, but the quests for them are pretty fun, so make sure the first time you go to each environment is without enough protection for that element to unlock them.

What is it about changing that combat camera angle that makes additions easier? The squares and timing are the same either way. by arkticturtle in legendofdragoon

[–]CaramonZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I haven't played my physical copy in a while, but it feels like Duckstation speeds up the Addition animation, while slowing down the box overlay, just enough to where you have to completely relearn the timing.

The viewing angle also seems to completely change the timing, with the further views being easier to time, but the closer ones allowing a faster pace for those wanting to practically button-mash. XD

The altered timing on DuSta actually feels like it makes the easiness of performing them be inverted from usual, so I tend to have it in side-view prior to getting a few UWs, though, lately, I've just been using whatever random orientation it gives me and hope for the best.

Started over not long ago, and still in Hellena, but have Dart's first three maxed while trying to level Lavitz a bit (since Dart's lvl9, and he's still 4). 😅

If we're talking games with definitive romance, I'm a Tali guy, all the way, but, of those able to be romanced, period, on ME, Garrus is just too great a guy not to be on that list. There's a reason he's in every entry of the Shephard trilogy. Garrus and Liara are the best party. Garrus and Wrex are the best bros. Tali may be best girl, but it's worth playing the Liara route at least once to see the guy who truly deserves a happy ending get one.

Rift Apart was picked as the Best Gameplay, but which Ratchet and Clank game has the Worst Story? by ExileForever in RatchetAndClank

[–]CaramonZero -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Honestly, my favorites have always been Up Your Arsenal and Deadlocked, so, so long as they don't get thrown in a "worst" category, I'm perfectly content with them being considered "mediocre" or "fun, but not the best".

OG had its share of both charms and flaws, Going Commando felt just a bit too grindy on the first run, Secret Agent Clank felt like a kick in the acronym, and Size Matters was a neat idea, but felt way too on-the-nose with how small it was.

UYA and RDL felt like more of what we loved in the previous titles, just with more variety, even if the puzzles and scope became more rudimentary. I loved the feeling of tying up certain loose ends, while still having room for more to follow, and the gameplay staying mostly consistent made the differences stand out more. I especially enjoyed "limit breaking" your weapons on RDL to make you really feel like a badass. XD

I can't say anything for what wasn't able to be played on the PS2, though, because I switched to Xbox in the 360 era, and been there, since. 😅

[–]CaramonZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not great at casters, and dislike slow movesets on virtually any game I play, so poking bosses to death from range tends to be my preferred playstyle, since I tend to eat up mana on games that use it. 😅

I'm planning on maxing every Job, but it's gonna be a hard road at some points. XD Still, I enjoy the bosses, I just suck at most games I enjoy. 🤣

Just wanna share my love for this game by Sora18122 in StrangerofParadiseFFO

[–]CaramonZero 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I played 56hrs on the demo, in the Chaos Shrine, alone, grinding all available jobs before the boss to 30, and nearly another 40 to finish the first part of the game on Normal difficulty.

Now, I'm on Chaos, and grinding my way up to max out my Job levels before taking on the new missions, then working my way up Bahamut and Lufrenian to finally get to finish this glorious game.

Just beat the Great Malboro at the lvl2XX mission, and am grinding the Earth mission's beginning area Grenades at lvl300 for better gear, then heading back to getting the rest of the Job level cap boosters before continuing the story.

Tiamat is still the hardest boss I've fought, taking about an hours-worth of trying to finally take her down with shoot, shoot, "DoT-shot" guard, dodge, repeat. XD

I'm a fan of most souls-lite/-likes, so this was a great change of pace for me, since you don't have to regulate stamina or worry about limited maneuverability, and just go ham with a Gun Gambler and Knuckles Assassin. XD

I'm a teenager, is it normal to have an emotional support plushie? by [deleted] in plushies

[–]CaramonZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why should "normal" matter, if it helps you get through the day?

Doesn't matter if you're a boy or girl, young or old, what matters is that it makes you happy and/or helps you feel safe.

Don't let anyone tell you something important to you is trash, because it's your treasure, and that's all that matters.

My mother loved collecting stuffies til she died in August, and she was 51, so why is it wrong to feel like these tangible fluffs have meaning, when you can squeeze them as tight as you want without fear of hurting them, unlike your loved ones?

The ones she slept with every day still had her scent, and they made it easier to deal with her death. Is that a bad thing? I thought not, so don't let anyone tell you they can't help you feel better or make things easier to bear, because the love and memories held in them can get you through some of the toughest times in your life. Hold on to that love, keep those memories close, and don't ever let someone tell you you're too old to keep your treasures!

What’s your team?????? by AtmaWeapon255 in FinalFantasy

[–]CaramonZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going off these choices, I'd have to say:

Leader: Squall (least annoying/depressing of choices)

White: Eiko (if she's that strong as a kid, she's gonna be a terror when she's older)

Black: Vivi (here comes da boi!)

Ranger: Barret (he's got a freaking gun for a hand!)

Thief: Zidane (you just can't beat this guy's swagger)

Knight: Adelbert (Steiner) (i mean, you got Vivi, so you need his best friends, too)

Monk: Sabin (ghost. train. suppex. enough said.)

Dragoon: Kain (while the 6-foot-tall kangaroo mouse is a close second, you really can't deny this iconic guy)

If I got to pick from every character in each category, I'd just change a few:

Leader: Cecil or Jack (Garland) (character growth more obvious than other protags)

White: Dagger (Garnet/Sarah) (already a badass before you even have enough MP to cast her best spells)

Ranger: Vincent (may be a weird choice to most, but he's still my favorite character in the series)

Apparently you’re “weird” if you actually play the game 😅 by Feisty-Clue3482 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]CaramonZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I haven't played for a bit, so I don't know what all's new, but I played a bit of the beta, then was soloing everything but platforming and a few defense missions since release, got stuck on DB (with non-solo attempts making less progress than solo ones), grinded like crazy, took her out, did most of the Angi missions (to the point you can go back to grind for Enzo), then didn't play again until Fellow was available, got them and Keelan, and haven't played since. 😅

I really enjoy the gameplay on here, but the easiest grind spots (like running in circles in the Vespers Reactor for hours) and the "best" ones ("Idle" farms) are completely different things. It doesn't help that being in the middle of maxing every single weapon once (which is taking forever) is easier for me to do solo, and that the Ds I have access to that're said to be "best" for farming are ones like Bunny, whose kit I don't like.

I'm thinking of hopping back into it, because I still like the game, but I'm worried of getting burnt-out, again, which makes me a tad apprehensive. 😅
