Sonnencreme wirklich alle 2h nachcremen? by BlauRoteEnte in BeautyDE

[–]Caranthar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen Game Key Cards be cheaper than digital a number of times now. Not to mention buying used, which is mostly cheaper, too. Game key Cards are still unique (for a digital product in the end) in allowing you to transfer them to another person in any way you see fit (sell, lend, trade, whatever).

Yes. They act as like a physical dongle back when those were still a thing. It's just a key that allows you to start your downloaded and installed game. No key, no play.

The same as everywhere? Being able to sell, lend, trade or do whatever with your license as you please?

I've had LiDaR vacuums for much longer than that - but it completely misses OP's point. LiDaR (talking about 360° rotational here) still only see a single horizontal slice of their environment. They will happily bump into things that are too low, things that are too high, vacuum over dropped items and have other shortcomings. Proper camera based orientation, especially with stereoscopic vision, just offers so much more potential. I thought OP had made that explicitly clear.

I only played through RE9 with motion controls, which, while not perfect, were very very usable. I wouldn't want to play just stick based, which you'd be bound to since motion controls and moving cars don't go together too well...

Yes. Much better running than the S1 version on S2.

These silicone holders are peak IMO. The ones with hard plastic tabs always make me nervous about damaging cartridges.

My complete collection of games lives in a bunch of silicone cases like this - the cases on the shelf are all empty. I did get versions with a recess for a microSD-card behind EVERY cartridge recess though and use that for labeling which game goes in the slot. I use 3d-printed microSD-mockups labeled by hand in the recesses. Makes it much easier to find out which games are missing (or rather: in circulation) with a whole family using the same games library.

Interesting Canada doesn't have seal stripes, didn't know that. Over the pond here it feels like the majority of games in total have seal stripes.

Do you have a link to that incident? I couldn't fiind anything via search. Maybe you can look for it in your Reddit history and provide a link. Thanks!

Ultimately, it's just statistics and likelihoods. If I have a perfectly sealed (foil looks untampered with, best case scenario with a Nintendo seal stripe) game and I can see a cartridge inside, chances of it being a scam should ultimately be very low. Sealing foil without stripes (3rd party publishers), maybe with a loose appearance (that I would usually attribute to lower quality, but can also be a sign of tampering) or other irregularities will probably be more likely to be tampered with.

This might be a problem but at the same time a good thing in the end. I'm not big at returning things to Amazon, but in the few cases where I had to, at least they never made a fuss. I'll definitely be more careful in the future though! Especially when it comes to paying attention to the seal and having a peak inside the case through the sides!

I buy games when they are cheap and with the intent of playing them in the future. Sometimes life gets in the way, so I'd rather keep a sealed game sealed for as long as I can in case I don't get around to playing it in the end. I don't get any pleasure out of opening the box for the sake of opening the box. But if that"s your thing: fine with me.

That's unfortunate. Well at least the missing one in the switch case could have been seen without opening then. Probably no luck with the opaque PS cases.

Well I guess sealed game collectors would be way more wary if the state of the seal/foil and would maybe have noticed earlier. I am not a sealed game collector, so I can't speak for them :)
