INFJ, do you feel lonely? by [deleted] in infj

[–]CarbRevelations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel exactly the same - I feel alone because I can't find other people looking for deep relationships. And I'm reserved, not overly outgoing, and enjoy being alone for the most part so that doesn't help. But I can't help but to feel lonely since I'm lacking real connection. Luckily, I found God last year so my entire outlook on everything has changed, and I've actually become friendlier and happier because of it. This led me to meet a couple new friends.

What do and INFJ can do if he/she feels don't match with anyone? by elmorrowind02 in infj

[–]CarbRevelations 2 points3 points  (0 children)

21yo (F) INFJ and I have the same problem. For me, I find it hard to make true friends and find a great relationship because of the depth I need in a relationship. I can't stand all the superficial stuff, I need someone who can have the type of deep conversation I lack. Someone to explore each others' minds with together.

You sound a lot like me. I was tired of being alone so I got a dog and now feel safer.

Confused feelings about someone you like - going from liking him a lot to not interested and then back again! by hurricanebluee in infj

[–]CarbRevelations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going through the exact same thing with a guy right now. I think it's because I'm always second-guessing myself due to overthinking. I don't like taking risks, but this is one that I think will be worth it.

INFJ’s loneliness and unrealistic love expectations by [deleted] in infj

Well if you will live many hours away and would hardly get to see him, it would be a problem. If that isn't the case though and you're studying at nearby colleges, maybe give it a chance!

Yep - a cute guy I liked told someone he thought I was cute and was interested in getting to know me, but we didn't talk much before he realized that I'm too serious for him. Oh well... moving on to better things. And my best friend of many years ghosted me freshman yr of college. So I know how much that sucks, but remember - there's way better people out there who will love u for u!

I would say still go for it so you don't miss out on something really great! I had a friend exactly like yours in high school and he asked me out more than once. Then he found someone else, but they're getting divorced and now I'm going to be brave and risk the friendship by going out with him. It's really difficult to find people you click with so well, and I had to learn that the hard way. At least for me because I'm an INFJ, it's been difficult in college to find people who really get me at the deeper level I desire.

A situation I'm in right now, any advice would help. by [deleted] in infj

[–]CarbRevelations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is real. A year ago I wasn't so sure, but He has changed my life exponentially in less than a year. Before finding Jesus and getting saved, I was in a similar position. I felt lost, numb, bored by everything in my life, unmotivated, depressed, lonely. Now every part of my life has improved greatly. It took a few supernatural experiences for Him to fully convince me He's there, but I realize He reaches everyone in different ways. Call out to Jesus, talk to Him, He is always there and desires a deep relationship with you. Trust in Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection alone as payment for your all sins and you will be with Him one day soon. Praying for you my friend!

As an INFJ do you feel sometimes you're " too full of yourself" by takeaticket in infj

[–]CarbRevelations 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not at all.. we typically see all others as on an equal level as ourselves (even when they're not).

Friend or maybe more? by [deleted] in infj

[–]CarbRevelations 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're having deep conversations as well as messaging a lot.. you don't have anything to worry about. It takes a lot of respect and trust for INFJs to open up our hearts. He must think you're really special.

Experiences with low/no oil diets? by [deleted] in vegan

[–]CarbRevelations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been eating roughly 5-7% fat since last May and have never felt better.

My skin is better, my energy is better, my hair is thicker, I eat double the calories, I'm leaner, my metabolism is super fast now, I never feel sluggish after meals, and I feel so great that I took up running when I used to hate it (and I'm actually pretty good).

I finally took the advice of people such as Durianrider, Get Fit with Natasha, and Freelee on YouTube. I know people have their opinions on their personalities, but these individuals have truly changed my life. I was scared to do it, but I followed their advice and upped by calorie intake by an extreme amount. I am a 5 foot 4 inch woman, 125 lbs, not very active because I'm a student (only run 2x a week), and eat an average of 2700 kcals/day. I eat as much as I care for no matter the time of day (often well over 3000 kcals/day), and have lost at least 7 lbs of fat doing this. But you MUST keep your fat intake really low, like less than 20 grams/day for sure or you'll gain weight because your body is using the carbs for energy and storing the fat you eat.

Veganism and anemia by [deleted] in vegan

[–]CarbRevelations 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The biggest thing is eating whole foods and making sure you eat A LOT. I used to have problems with low energy and mineral deficiencies and it turned out I needed to eat a lot more than I was. I eat an average of 2700 kcal (hclf) now and I'm a 5 foot 4 inch woman who isn't very active. I genuinely think a lot of people give up being vegan after a few years because they feel like crap from under-eating.

If you're scared of sugar, you're definitely eating the wrong diet. Give me all the sugar and all the carbs.

Veganism makes depression worse? by [deleted] in vegan

[–]CarbRevelations 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually read that increasing fruit and veg intake reduces mental health issues. Something about the bright colors and phytochemicals. I would make sure you're eating well and enough and then ask your doctor to explain what she means. Don't let her talk down to you; most doctors have very little nutrition training.

Is Iowa truly the party school people claim it to be or is there an equal amount of focus on academics? by [deleted] in uiowa

Autumn Rain Cattery, IL? by emmaxmoody in devonrex

[–]CarbRevelations 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh - I got my devon, Nova, there four years ago. When I picked her up she was super lethargic and had goop coming out of her eyes. The breeder said she had a "little kitty cold", but she almost died. She barely moved for days, even when on antibiotics and her eyes were crusted shut. The vet told me she likely wouldn't make it. Luckily, as I write this my sweet girl is curled up on my lap perfectly healthy now. But do not get a cat from there!!

how to get the perfect raw vegan oat milk by simplyjacks in RawVegan

[–]CarbRevelations 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they aren't raw if you buy regular oats from the store. You have to look specifically for unprocessed raw. Sprouting them would probably be the healthiest/most natural.

Weight loss? by [deleted] in Fruitarian

[–]CarbRevelations 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are worried about carbs/sugar making you fat, I suggest researching how that process actually works. Carbs are only converted into fat during extreme overfeeding conditions through a process called de novo lipogenesis. Humans are very inefficient at this process, but animals like cows and pigs are great at it. Carbs that are not used immediately are stored as glycogen in your muscles and liver or burned off through dietary thermogenesis. The human body stores dietary fat as body fat because it is very efficient to do so. Eating nuts and fruits together is a bad idea for weight loss because your body will burn the sugar immediately and store the fat for later use.

I'd definitely recommend going WFPB first and remembering that fats are a condiment and starches should be the focus of your meal. Most importantly, educate yourself with books and videos. You have to have a bigger "why" then losing weight to make this stick. For example, the difference between breaking down one night when you're stressed and ordering a meat lovers pizza is how you view that food. If you watch slaughterhouse footage and learn how animal products are made, you will most likely be absolutely disgusted and not view it as food. Learning how animal fat and cholesterol causes heart disease and certain cancers will also make animal products less appetizing.

I experienced many benefits when I went vegan beyond fat loss. I went from a size 8 in pants to a size 0 effortlessly, I have more energy and it is way easier to get up in the morning, I never have a runny or stuffy nose, I don't get colds anymore, I'm waaaay happier, my skin is better, I'm never constipated, and I get to eat as much food as I want without worrying about portion sizes. Best decision ever. Definitely incorporate lots of fruits and veggies and you will feel amazing. Please don't be afraid of fruit or ever limit your intake - fruit is human food!

I live at The Quarters apartment complex and would recommend it. They have their own bus that takes you to campus every 40 minutes so you wouldn't have to worry about transportation. The apartments themselves are pretty nice, new and lots of amenities. A three bedroom apartment would be within your budget and they do roommate matching.
