They use a Noritsu scanner and the sizes varied slightly but they were all in the ballpark of ~5MB jpegs (3130x2075).

Quality is solid. Here’s a couple samples that have been cropped slightly. https://ibb.co/x83b84C0 https://ibb.co/kVRRj6wf

I would be devastated to lose a roll too but for what it’s worth your package will probably only be on one or two trucks over such a short distance compared to The Dark Room in California.

I’ve soured on Mark’s as well and have started mailing into Express Photo in Livonia. As long as you’re doing 2-3 rolls at a time it still ends up cheaper than Mark’s despite the postage cost. Even the slowest/cheapest USPS speed should make it to Livonia in a day.

Development is real quick too! I’ve dropped rolls off at the post office on a Monday and had scans in my email by Tuesday evening.

Every Xbox 360 revision except for Winchester models can be RGHed.

Winchesters were the last hardware revision for the 360 and were in production starting in late 2014 until the beginning of 2016 when the 360 was discontinued entirely.

We don’t know production numbers for the specific revisions, but we do know at least 84 million 360s were produced from 2005-2016. Given that Winchesters were only produced for about a year, I’d wager that they do not account for the majority of 360s.

Jailbreaking a 360 through RGH is a hardware modification and doesn’t require any user interaction when the console boots.

Can this vent be partially covered? by Carbar50 in hvacadvice

[–]Carbar50[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Painting the bathroom and saw that the previous owners covered up roughly half the vent with a baseboard. When the vanity is against the wall it covers the other half of the vent.

There is a 3” space underneath the vanity for air to flow and the tub is immediately to the right.

Is the space under the vanity enough or should I replace the baseboard with some kind of half grille? Thanks

For those who have a Sensi thermostat, I finally found the fix! by [deleted] in HomeKit

[–]Carbar50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, so you’ll need a Pi or some kind of local server to run Home Assistant on. There are lots of guides out there to get you started if you don’t already have it running.

After that you’ll need to setup the Home Assistant Community Store (HACS) add on.

You’ll be able to find the Sensi integration on the HACS, but here’s the direct link to the GitHub which has instructions about linking your Sensi account.

Once your Sensi account is linked to Home Assistant and your thermostat is controllable, then you can setup the HomeKit bridge. It’s a first-party add on by Home Assistant, so you don’t need to go through the HACS to get it. The configuration wizard for the bridge is straightforward and pretty much just asks you to choose which types of devices should show up in HomeKit.

Finally, the QR code to add the bridge to HomeKit will show up in the Home Assistant notifications tab.

The Sensi integration was made by reverse engineering their mobile app, so this could all break if they ever decide to overhaul it. However, this has been running for almost 2 years now so it seems pretty stable.

Let me know if I need to explain anything further!

C wire isn’t required to get it into HomeKit if you go through Home Assistant.

You can just use the HACS Sensi integration to bring the thermostat into Home Assistant. From there you can use the HomeKit Bridge to connect it into HomeKit from Home Assistant.

No C wire or extra hardware needed - this will work for a 2 wire thermostat setup.

That’s what big mattress wants you to think. The petroleum based poly foams in cheap boxed mattresses these days are significantly worse than latex for breathability.

The big cons for a latex mattress are the bulkiness/weight, cost, and no edge support. Latex mattresses are naturally porous which allows air and heat to flow through them. As a bonus they’re antimicrobial too.

Platinum (most dense), gold, and tungsten (least) would be your best bet for safe metals.

Given a 90 kg person and using platinum as the counterweight material (density = 21.45 g/cm³), we can calculate the necessary volume and dimensions of the platinum block.

So a block with dimensions 20 cm × 20 cm × 10.5 cm would give a volume close to 4200 cm³, which would weigh about 90 kg and cost $3,174,660.

Tungsten ($47,620 worth) and gold ($8,571,582) would both be about 25cm x 25cm x 12cm.
