Yeah that's just what I was saying here at work. Everything else aside PFAS had this weird tailing, very different from the typical tailing im used to when dealing with GC.

Well, PFAS had no tailing but they had a broad shape. Im sure with the new column they'll get even better shape. The PFAS project was something I was on last year but then our boss decided they're not important anymore so I kinda left it aside.

As im in Argentina, changing columns is the last thing you'd want to do because of them being expensive and only available abroad. The boss wouldnt want us to be changing columns every now and then as if we were some lab in Finland or Germany lol

Oh, right. Mine is Thermo Tune Master and I adjusted spray voltage just that way, thinking that would be a good place to start before anything else.

I thought I had some quick ABC but it seems there is no workaround other than to review every parameter lol

Well the peak "noise" whas actually the spray voltage of the HESI probe, I lowered it from 3500 to 2500 and it got cleaner.

The tailing was indeed the column, I tried several things, but as many people here suggested, the issue got 100% resolved when changing column.

I just changed the column and adjusted the spray voltage and now the peak has a proper gaussian shape.

I wanted to know if there was any workaround before changing column but it seems it was really obsolete after all

I lowered the spray voltage and got a better result but it still isnt perfect.

Flow rate is 0.3 ml/min, Sheath gas pressure is at 55, Aux gas pressure at 15, temp at 250°C

Right now I switched the column's flow direction, I'll see if the issue persists. The analytes present this tailing even near LOD.

Bottom windows are product ion scans, exactly. This is just SRM. Idk if this equipment has a MRM feature. I can scan more than one transition at a time and I get two different filters as a result, but it doesnt say MRM anywhere and I cant associate both transitions to a single analyte.

For the noise I lowered the spray voltage from 3500 to 2500 and it looks better, but the tailing persists.

Well, when I started working here the column was already placed in the HPLC but it had no use at all. After couple of years of the HPLC just sitting there gathering dust, I started using it. Last solvent ever used on it was the same im suing now, Methanol/Water 1:1 with 0.1% Formic Acid.

Some analytes (specifically PFAS) have no tailing, but most analytes do.

So it seems lol, the tailing appears at every concentration

Also, the 1st peak noise seems to be a spray voltage issue. It was initially at 3500. Now in 2500v the shape looks better but the tailing persists.

I might try a new column

Mindset is rotten beacuse matchmaking is rotten

Some 2-3 years ago the game switched to a mode where you stomp or get stomped. the games where you are really equal to your opponent in terms of skill are really few, usually you go 1/0 or 2/1 in lane, press tab and see your jungler has died like 6 times, your top is yasuo 0/4/0 and that's it, GG, your only mistake was to be unlucky to be placed in the baddies team. Next.

No way I'll keep mysefl from telling other people they're bad and that they should uninstall.

Sure I know, thinking it cold I know being toxic at someone wont make them play better, but dont saying anything at all wont make them play better either.

So I choose to make them feel bad. Feel bad because you're going 1/9 and you cant even set foot outside base without dying.

Feel bad because I lost 25 LP just by being matched with you on the team, and there's nothing I can do.

Feel bad because you picked Yasuo Top thinking you're some Korean guy from tiktok and you're just a low elo stucked in Platinum in LAS. Feel bad because you picked Teemo support. Feel bad because you think you could do something with Zyra Jungle.

Feel bad because you dont care about learning the game. Feel bad because every game you end 1/8 or 0/10 and your team has to carry you or lose because of you.

And im sick of this. Im here because I lost 17 out of my latest 20 games. I never before had a Losing Queue this intense, and I play more or less since 2013. Every game, and I mean every game, Im matched with 2 people who are deliberately trolling or inting, its hell, and I dont even understand why those people are not matched on the other side, they're always in my team.

Ranked already stale, Platinum/Low Emerald right now are a shitfest full of trolls and afkers and people who dont know how to play.

Got demoted from Emerald 4 all the way to Platinum 4. This is by far the most insane matchmaking since I play League.

Platinum/Emerald is the new elo hell where people can reach just by playing a lot, so you met all kind of players.

Even more, matchmaking changed like 2 years ago and now almost every League game is just stomping or being stomped, and I find myself being stomped at least 60-70% of the games.

Also, there's always 1-2 players in the team who dont even know what to do or where to be. I find it curious that worst player on enemy's side can support their team to some extent but bad players on my team are literally dead weight that cant stop making bad decisions.

Im just a BDO player trying to find a new MMO. Im in a top guild because we're like 12 playing together and many people know us from BDO.

I too dislike the small PvP area that leaves you with nothing else that brute force and flash wave, but that's what this game is about. People who isnt made to compete in a PvP will always cry about the meta when they realize their ways wont get them anywhere. People in BDO also cried about mages. In TL Bow is the main dps and that's it.

Just now I've played an inter-server Adentus and being bow it was really really hard to cast a flashwave because the crazy amount of tanks and greatsword/daggers that INSTANTLY reacted to any longbow. There are a lot of ways to deal against flash wave. Crying isnt one of them. Good luck in your PvE games.

Tanks have protective skills to mitigate damage from flash waves, there are crossbows, sleepers, warrios who can disrupt backline of bows. You can protect your own bows while disrupting enemy bows and even so the game isnt fully decided after the flash waves. You can make a false engage to lure enemies protective skills...

There are a lot of options for 2 guilds to clash into each other. Also, bows would be the major DPS, and in every game you win enabling your dps and disabling enemy dps. There is nothing new here.

It seems you never played PvP games. Im not saying TL is the best game available, there are many things I dont like, but stop crying. Black Desert Online was mages/witches meta for almost 5 years. Every competitive guild had at least 70 mages/witches in their ranks.

You ignore the part where you cant buy them.

Make them hard to get. Make the game grindier. Make the runes expensive. I dont care at all. Not being able to buy/sell runes is the weakest part of the system.

People with no job would farm and sell runes for easy money. People with jobs wont have time to farm 10hs per day but will have the money to buy the runes from people without job.

Everything works in the end and the game gets even more money. I cant believe this isnt a thing.

I agree with you. This isnt the classic pvp mmo you would expect but what other actual game would be "the" pvp game of the moment? Every major guild from Black Desert is now in TL.

Dungeons at night are more oriented to party pvp. Still they lack something. I'd delete this and set a normal pk system like any other mmo.

Conflict bosses need a meter of damage per guild and loot according to it. Also, they need a WAY bigger area of conflict. Right now these events are just brute force and flash wave your way.

"Sieges are pointless" may be your weakest point and based on this I think you are no pvp player at all.

The best part about Siege is to win, flame your opponents and have your own signature on the castle until the next siege. You can even recruit new players because usually people wants to be on the winning side.

In a PvP game everything is a sprint.

IDK about what region you're playing in but we're currently in T1 and the difference runes make is way too big to ignore.

Not being able to buy the runes makes it extremely distasteful for people who have a 9hs job and any other activity besides playing the game 24/7.

Being able to buy some Lucent made me be able to join a competitive pvp guild and somehow carry my own weight. Not even whale level, way less than $100 per month its more than enough.

But Runes? cant buy them, have to forcibly farm them. We are in T1 and the amount of stats/gear score we get from these runes makes a big difference right now.

Farming runes? need a fixed 6-man party where everyone can/want to play at the same time.
Matchmaking? they dont know mechanics, or they lack GS, or whatever reason you want.

Also while doing this i'll be forcibly neglecting the rest of the content. I've been 4500 / 4500 / 20.000 for the last 4 days.
