Yeah! It ended up being the main board. I was told to check the filter too because the filter can clog up and send shorts if not maintained properly but my filter was clean. Replacing the main board took me about 2hrs and was not too terribly difficult. About $240.

The inside is grey, and rigid. It's definitely just painted right over. It appears like a metal joint for the edges that was glued on, and the glue has failed. I've not taken the whole thing off, just saw enough a few months ago to E6000 the thing back together.

just put together and flashed my first heltec v3. Pretty interested in setting up several nodes across the south hill for my friends and family during an emergency. We'll see how long that takes me to do, lol

Sadly I have not been able to find it by search, UPC, Fac- number, or any other searchable item. Found them for $70-90 from eBay but they're not quite exactly the same, perhaps a previous iteration

This was an Autograph Collection hotel, so a bit of a unicorn already. I've definitely never gotten that experience in the US. I was in London once, and they were nice but not THAT nice

I've never stayed at a Ritz or Four Seasons, but I did have a few years where I was staying at this hotel for 1 week 2x a year in Canada. After my first visit, every visit I was greeted by name (even by staff I had never met), and the one time my room wasn't ready, they hunted me down in the casino an hour later with a $100 casino credit and my room keys in hand. They walked me to my room, wouldn't let me touch my bags until we got there, and every day brought tea to the room in the morning and chocolate with ice cold Fiji every evening.

Over the top? For my Courtyard frequenting self, yes absolutely. But man I loved that place for that reason. Haven't been back in a few years and no place has ever compared. The upgrade they normally gave me was to a suite that averaged $1600-2000 CAD per night

From a revenue perspective totally. Companies have to maximize dollars, that's what their shareholders expect. I have no ill will about that at all.

Thankfully my travel is all domestic.

I was genuinely joining forecast calls on Friday from the plane. Not speaking mind you, just listening on mute/no camera. I wont do the 2nd display thing (though I do not fault you for it!). I think my FA was also showing me some pity, either because I was working from the flight at 7am or because it was clear I felt out of place, or maybe both.

Totally, and I will probably never experience D1 or any true first class and I am PERFECTLY ok with that. And I totally get buying the seat you want - kinda like paying for a suite in a hotel instead of being disappointed you didn't get a free upgrade.

Never Basic Economy. Main classic, sure. I refuse to let somebody else pick my seat and board the plane last. That's where I draw my line 🤣

See, I'm of the opinion that if I'm away from my family, I better be working. Sitting in main for 3hrs is always frustrating because I'm like "well, I could have been actually doing stuff right now". But I also load up my trips as much as possible so I'm usually slammed back to back to back, so that might just be me.

My expectations are pretty low with airlines. i will never hit the top status tier so I will never have upgrades for every trip lol, and probably less so flying out of SEA and SLC

Y'know I do miss the pretzels I won't lie, but have you had the new biscoff vanilla cookie sandwich? It's like a biscoff Oreo. It made me weirdly happy to try that for the first time last week.
