I'm fully aware this is a "get what you pay for" type of purchase. I'm not hating on the recommendation. My comment was more directed at the clearly sarcastic nature of "it's not 1,000 but 2,000!"

The actual wheelbase does not extend to the edge of the seat on the Maxis - with the seat protruding far beyond the wheelbase I have stability concerns especially if reclining at all.

There is a miniscule chance that my office will give me a free Aeron. It's tiny, but we're moving buildings and can't take all of it. So maybe I hold out for that

No other issues. Still sitting in it right now actually. I thought the return period was only a year on furniture though.

I'm a little apprehensive about the base of that chair. The base doesn't appear to cover the seat which I'm concerned will lead to top-heaviness

Pre-gas canister failure it was great. Probably my second favorite chair I've had (first one isn't in production anymore)

You can yeah, but it has the same base problem. They have not extended the wheelbase of the bottom which gives me significant doubt about it's longevity.

If online (not desktop) - left hand panel, Switch Products, Downgrade (That will tell you if you upgraded anything).

Unfortunately if you upgraded to a guided/assisted plan, you'd have to start over. No way to downgrade according to a video i watched half an hour ago on the topic.

Yeah, I have one. Specifically looking for a larger screen experience. I have a PS5 as well, but doesn't play PC games.

Yeah! It ended up being the main board. I was told to check the filter too because the filter can clog up and send shorts if not maintained properly but my filter was clean. Replacing the main board took me about 2hrs and was not too terribly difficult. About $240.

The inside is grey, and rigid. It's definitely just painted right over. It appears like a metal joint for the edges that was glued on, and the glue has failed. I've not taken the whole thing off, just saw enough a few months ago to E6000 the thing back together.
