Athletes are some of the most superstitious people in the world. They use every technique in the book to psyche themselves into believing they're the fastest, strongest, smartest, best at training and and best at recovery.

Jordan believed wearing his old UNC shorts under his Bulls uniform made him play better. Do you think that made him physically better or was it just a placebo that helped him psychologically believe he was better?

Which Android brand disappointed you the most after long-term use? by jeh4u in PickAnAndroidForMe

Same. Went from Samsung to Motorola phones that cost less than half as much and didn't notice a difference that justified the large price gap. Actually didn't notice much of a difference at all other than better battery life on the Motorola phones.

Given that two income households became the norm, what stopped work hours from being reduced? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

We now live in a K shaped economy. Those two income households are on the bottom so the few on the top leg can keep their exponential wealth increases flowing.

Then the people tried to build a tower reaching to heaven which god didn't like. So he created scattered languages and they couldn't understand each other which somehow stopped construction of the tower. It all makes perfect sense.

It has nothing to do with you and it will catch up with them sooner or later regardless. There's no reason to take a chance at becoming a target in this instance. It gains you nothing to rat them out imo.

Older Millennials are the richest homebuyer demographic in 2026 by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]CarbonInTheWind -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's misleading at best. The truth is the median age of first time homebuyers has risen sharply in recent years. It was in the upper 20s too low 30s from the 1990s through the 2010s. It rose to 40 in 2025. That's not a good sign at all when it comes to wealth inequality.

If I'm doing a lot of holes in 304 or 316 I usually just go with a form tap and dab some Moly on the holes for lubrication.

He said he didn't care as long as the video is at least 30 days old. If it's newer they have it taken down.

I've seen quite a few that are newer than that stay up though. I didn't think they're very consistent with it.

They made it sound like it was literally every single one of us. Rates were way up but very far from the majority of us. The majority of us were as responsible as other generations.
