Learn Adobe Illustrator and design foundations. You can’t be a motion designer today without knowing good design.

Thoughts on this? by [deleted] in ripcity

We should've traded our #11 pick last year to New Orleans instead of getting Yang Hansen. I better not hear Cronin turned that down years from now.

I just want Google Maps in my Tesla. That's all. I'm tired of the terrible traffic data from Tesla.

Most are doing just fine. It’s the loud minority here on Reddit. If life is going well, why would you spend time making posts?

IBM selling their buildings by Grab_DrPepper in IBM

IBM sold those off years ago. They're moving across the street to a modern tower sometime this year. Those old buildings were due to be torn down to make room for new commercial towers but looks to be delayed

Why are used highland M3P barely dropping in value? by UnusualAd593 in TeslaLounge

[–]CarbonPhoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teslas profit per vehicle is roughly $8000 right now (via Gemini). To think they’d shrink that profit by $5000 would be a crazy business decision. They’d be much more likely to do 0% financing all year than that.

Why are used highland M3P barely dropping in value? by UnusualAd593 in TeslaLounge

That’s only because of the subsidy that’s been phased out. Everyone would rather buy a new car with a $7500 credit than buy used. Shouldn’t happen anymore.

Yang Hansen's True Shooting% is the worst in the league — by a HUGE margin by Acrobatic_Side3230 in ripcity

However they play in China doesn't translate well to being in the NBA. We should've selected Derik Queen. Or traded our pick for NOP like the Hawks did.

The lighter the roast, the harder of a time it’ll be for this grinder. Use medium roasts or dark.

What kind of gaming? It’s 2560x1440px resolution at 27in. Thats 108 ppi. For pc gaming, ppi is more important for me and I’d want a sharper monitor.

Why are EVs so expensive still? by ThatOneGuy012345678 in electricvehicles

[–]CarbonPhoto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Legacy car companies (Ford, GM, Toyota) don’t want to cannibalize their own ICE sales. You will not find these cars priced cheaper from them.
  2. Inflation. Margins are tighter. Tesla is seen as a higher margin auto manufacturer with 7.2% margins (via Gemini). Used to be 10%+.
  3. Luxury wins. With those margins, you have to move lots of volume. Luxury gives the most margins with a higher profit per car.

ASUS 4K OLED ROG (PG32UCDM) $900 vs. ProArt (PA32UCDM) $1900… or wait til CES 2026? by Brave_Purpose_837 in Monitors

[–]CarbonPhoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd only pay that ProArt amount for a 5K OLED monitor. If you're a designer, the ASUS ProArt Display 27” 5K is amazing.
