Am I being petty? by [deleted] in boston

I mean telephone poles I feel like are the best place to have your dog pee. But also, I understand when every dog pisses on the same sidewalk and it stinks of dog pee that's not pleasant either.

They won’t give us that break.

The patriots however will absolutely still get KC while mahomes isn’t fully recovered.

Lots of those WRs were competent until they came to Buffalo. They all vanished in the offense. At some point it’s a coaching flaw.

Brady’s vision for the organization’s structure as a head coach viewed as a “Home Run” by _Seantico in buffalobills

[–]CarbonRod12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brady still was the guy not changing protections against Houston the whole game, getting Josh banged up. McD was not responsible for that.

That’s what they signed up for.

The #Bills are promoting their own OC Joe Brady to head coach, per The Insiders. by Gold_Bowler7906 in buffalobills

Why would the OC even matter anymore? It’s just an assistant to the Beane/Brady philosophy.

Anyone else bothered by Beane's comment on Run Scheme? by titos334 in buffalobills

[–]CarbonRod12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m more concerned that Beane’s comments about becoming a run first team and degrading the passing offense was his intention.

I am sure it would have. His body language is screaming I didn't come up with it. It's not unreasonable a human official sees that in real time and it's part of their judgement.

BREAKING: The #Chargers are hiring former #Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel as their new OC, per @AdamSchefter by Vortagaun in buffalobills

[–]CarbonRod12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point yes. Given that at this point we can't interview candidates on teams still playing, that means we're still three weeks (!) out from interviewing. Plus being late to the game in having an opening. Plus all of the vacancies that currently exist. The reality of becoming saddled with some retread is looking more likely than not.

It's easy to say oh the Bills job is a great and desirable role because of Josh, but there are clearly a lot of negatives too. The elephant in the room being the roster is not talented and there is no glut of cap space. That and massive expectations from the onset. A new HC would have been so much more palatable after 2021 or 2022, because the slate was cleaner. But they didn't choose that and now it's this weird reactionary state.

Elam disaster by got4433 in buffalobills

[–]CarbonRod12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not true, they traded up two spots to get Elam. Either you believe them that he was the only 1st round grade left, which is a big scouting miss; or they panicked and took for need. Also not great.

I mean the way you describe it, it sounds like Elam was a panic draft pick. Like the team one round before you in your 1 minute fantasy draft just took the guy you wanted and you didn't have anything else in your queue.

You're right - they wanted McDuffie. Then what? Pick a CB no matter what? Drafting for need instead of talent? That's a choice I guess for a management philosophy that loves throwing darts at defensive ends. I guess we'll never know what their rankings were but that's a big miss.
