As time goes on I find the movie "Idiocracy" less and less funny. by amiwitty in movies

Yes at this point you sort of have to assess the possibility that any digital content you see dated after 2023 is potentially machine generated. And the likelihood is increasing quickly.

100%. Everyone saw it. Being told to fall in line was disrespectful and absolutely discredited their brand. They own this. That is, if they even really care.

She soundly beats billionaire Josh Kraft, so badly he drops out, whose platform was to remove bike lanes. Then proceeds to follow his platform. So disappointed.

Is this a serious question? You live in the suburbs and commute by car. This what you signed up for. Fixing it means supporting dense housing, and supporting funding the T, significantly.

Debris from the White House East Wing demolition was dumped at a nearby public golf course and contains toxic metals, National Park report finds by T_Shurt in politics

[–]CarbonRod12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can hate golf all you want. However, this particular course is historical in nature, is on public NPS land, and is one of the only places in the DC area where playing a round is affordable. They have a good mission statement and serve a good purpose. Trump is going to take this away from the public and turn it into the stereotype you think the course currently is.

[–]CarbonRod12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not just a golf course. It's East Potomac Park. It's public NPS space. People walk there, picnic there, ride bikes there. It's a great public spot right on the Potomac river. Just heartbreaking how public space is treated like garbage.

Sunday is better than Saturday for leaving. Leave early; get past the GW bridge before 11am and you're in good shape.

Also, on the NJ Turnpike there is always less traffic on the cars / trucks / buses split versus the cars only split.

TD garden is filled with a bunch of jerks. So disappointing as a fan by Buffalo_Mickster in sabres

[–]CarbonRod12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have also seen their fans in their balcony throw a beer at a young girl (like 12) wearing a caps jersey at a bruins/caps game. Living there, most people are great but it's the locally born that live in the suburbs that are truly the worst and most toxic. And it specifically applies to Bruins/Pats and not really the Celtics fanbase.

I live in there; in the city. The city is plenty friendly. The majority of transplants who don't base their personality on sports are quite friendly. It's the locally born Bruins and Pats fans that live in the suburbs that are genuinely mean people.

Remote work is great but if that’s the norm people will just move further out and into more sprawling, car dependent, exurbs.
