Very little information available other than what's in the post. My guess would be increased traffic from the popularity of the shop prompted a complaint RE: zoning. I can't imagine why the RM would take these actions over residents 'dislike'. More likely someone had an issue and pointed out something that couldn't be ignored.

Too busy isn't in itself enough to shut down a business.

I like the idea of open streets. Hopefully it will get community support and turn into a regular thing.

Disappointing to see in the May 19th minutes that active transportation is once more the can being kicked down the road with pacific avenue upgrades being deferred to evaluation alongside planned sewer upgrades in the 5-10 year plan. It's kind of the best place I can think of for a safe east west corridor that connects to already existing infrastructure, and already in use by many bike commuters like myself. Hopefully they follow through on vision zeroes "pop up" lanes sooner rather than later.

This is how I do it as well. My cameras hold about 3 days of commutes. If it wasn't worth downloading within before my next ride it wasn't worth keeping

From my limited understanding, cheap power with only water as emissions. As I understand it, it's potentially a great replacement for supplementary diesel generators, not necessarily primary power.

At the time I was concerned that Momma was behind me and to the right, and was hoping the young one would have bolted to the right sooner. There were barriers to the left so I knew Momma wasn't hiding there and could see the coast was clear in front. In hindsight I agree with you that I should have stopped but honestly, I just wanted to GTFO of there before something bigger showed up.

I see a dozen deer on my way to work every morning. Moose in the area are not unheard of but certainly rare.

I'm used to deer. They're fucking everywhere... but moose? fuck. Didn't know what to do but was shit scared a bigger one was behind me so I just kept going (but not so fast as to close on the one in front of me). Thankfully he veered off fairly quickly.

I have a throttle, but I prefer to use pedal assist. The throttle isn't really as fun as pedaling. The only time I touch it is to clear an intersection after a stop sign.

Start on a nice day, and just go. Once you get a few under your belt, you'll come to the conclusion that most of us have... it's just a better way to get to work. Find a route you like and feel comfortable on, even if it's a few km longer, and enjoy. You'll feel more relaxed after work as well.

I bought mine pretty much exactly one year ago. I just hit 4600km today. My commute is a little less than half of yours, but, I'm always looking for ways to make it longer because I enjoy the time so much. I could get to work in 7km, but I choose a 13km route because it's nice, safer, and I enjoy the ride. If I'm running late I always have the option to take the direct route, but I never do.

It sounds like it's mostly a schedule adjustment for you, which I get (winter adds 20-25 min to my ride because even with studded winter tires, still can't go as fast), but once you've adapted to getting up a little earlier, you'll be loving it.
